he is very tough..he just should stop trying to be andrew johns and start being mitchell pearce.he could compete in nearly any position..but i strongly suggest hooker would be his forte imo...we need either a good half or a great five eighth and let carney play half
He filled in at hooker for a set or two on the weekend didnt he? I also see him as a better hooker than he is a half. At least he will play direct that way
halfback who needs to run at the line with the gusto he showed when he scored on Saturday
As long as he keeps on being just a kickaholic he'll be another run of the mill half - one who might go ok at representative level with quality all around him, but absolutely not what we need at the Roosters

Relax, no halfback is that good at 22 even if they've played 100 games.
To junk Pearce from halfback you need someone better to replace him. People suggesting Carney @ Half; Pearce @ Hooker...who is 5/8...Braith? What happens to Friendy?
Mitchell Pearce is a Half-Back and has probably played in this position his whole life. He just needs to be a little bit more direct. He looks like he is in two minds at the moment in attack. He is a good support player but i think also some variation in his kicking play would be handy.
I have faith in the kid and i believe he is not far off a big game.
