I like Cohn but he is just crazy. It's like he's in an episode of Jackass and he has no fear thus he gets injured more often. JWH is just a scary guy and will scare the opposition out of the game. A year on for JWH and he will now be more intimidating but hopefully with a bit of control.
Like both but I prefer if JWH plays.

I like how we use the Jets as if they're our reserve grade team... no shame it it really! Regardless of whether you're in the team, you'll probably get a run with the Jets.

Particularly useful when you have depth like us because there are many players who it's difficult to split (similar ability levels... just more suitable for different situations.)

Conn is short (183cm - can swear he looks taller!!) and 104kg. JWH is 192cm and 106kg. Burgess is 195cm and 111kg - my guess is we need a bit more height/size to match it up with him (and Asotasi, Crocker, Taylor, Stuart... most of them would be more than 190cm! Luke's the only little guy...)

I think Smith's just picked our biggest forwards because the Souffs are a big team. Braith at 5/8 could be a blessing because we'll be able to get him out of the forwards (coz he's little) without subbing our captain out for a junior player. I'd still prefer Carney at 5/8 though... :P

i think conn was awesome for us last year, he really stood and and showed some skill, where jwh had alot written about him and didnt really live up to the hype. but with a full preseason this year jwh might just live up ti his potential and be the next "raging bull"

JWH is baitable that his only problem - he will be a good front rower if he sticks to the business playing football.Im an admirer of Conn he came a long way last year and should establish him self with that winning attitude of his.

We kinda use them like that... last season a couple of guys came up from the Jets to the Roosters. 2009 The Jets did okay because Freddie put a bunch of under-performing players in the Jets squad and tried out a fow Jets players in the NRL. Martin Kennedy and Mose Masoe successfully proved themselves at the Jets and are now NRL regulars, so potential for promotion exists if you play for the Jets! Teams like the Dragons don't have a structure like this... most clubs see NSWRL as a joke, and you don't see as much overlap between the NSWRL and NRL

Guys like Luke Towers haven't quite hit the NRL, but were seriously considered for a run in the NRL squad after showing quality form for the Jets. To name a few players who have played games for the Jets (and yes, a few Kiwi internatonals):
                - Sam Perrett
                - FPN
                - Iosia Soliola
                - Maubs
                - Cherro
                - Kennedy
                - Ben Jones
                - Amos Roberts
                - Rhys Pritchard
                - Anthony Minichiello
                - Daniel Conn

Now a number of these players were just proving their fitness/getting match experience after injuries. So what? That's a bit like reserve grade IMO.

Most clubs won't use NSWRL players... that or they don't even have a team. So yes it is "as if they're our reserve grade team" when compared to most clubs who don't even use NSWRL players.

I encourage further moves towards making it more like a reserve grade comp. I think the Roosters are one of the leading clubs in this move... it's a pity a number of other clubs see it as a joke...

Most clubs have their fringe 1st graders in reserve grade. Dragons included - Shellharbour ?

i think conn is a better player than JWH now but JWH obviously has more potential. is it better playing him in first or reserve to unlock that potential?

also im not sure that conn isnt somewhat of an enforcer himself. i seeem to remember during the run into the finals him charging out of the line and hurting a few players.
