Robbo will have to play it safe with SKD. If he drops him for one of the young up and comers, his confidence will be completely shot. If the replacement is no better than skidsy and we need to call him back up, he'll have zero confidence and will be even worse for the long run.

The problem is there are no up and comers who are near to be being ready for First Grade. Moga potentially but it would be at least 3 months before he could be in the mix. Guys like Reuben and MacDonald are barely NSW Cup Standard.

He is just so ineffective and has very little impact on the game. I'd say the writing is on the wall if he continues to have another average season". That dropped ball he did, when we could have stole the game at the end, holy f*** that p!ssed me off no end!!

The main problem I have with him is that when he has the ball you are both expecting him to do absolutely nothing with it, while just praying that he doesn't make a mistake. That simply is NOT good enough!!

Last night was a classic example of an insight that we can expect to see from next year onwards without SBW. Against top 4 sides who have really good defense, we have SFA in attack. You know that the biased refereeing against us just isn't going to stop as it happens every year, and it is compounded by our usually poor kicking game. This game for me highlights the very reason why I have been campaigning to get Fergo to our club. We desperately need a player of Fergo's caliber, who has HUGE X factor and can create something out of nothing and break a game wide open for us and win us those tight games!! SKD is incapable of this as he has a total inability to create anything or make a line break against the top teams!! Getting Fergo is a MUST otherwise we will continue to see more games like last night in the future!!

And just to be fair, Maloney, JWH, Morts, Nappa and Evans were also poor last night.

Maloney seems to be resting on his laurels from last year. His poor form is reminding me of Anasta and is negatively impacting on Jennings getting SFA ball, and his kicking game is atrocious and that is wreaking havoc on the whole team and Toups in particular!!

JWH, FFS get back deeper and run f***ing hard on to the ball. His runs are nearly completely useless!

The only good thing Morts is providing is giving Friend a rest. When Morts is on the field he is adding nothing to our attack, and last night he threw an Anasta type embarrassing pass from dummy half that f***ed up that set of six for us which was one of our rare promising good sets for the game. If he doesn't step up, as soon as Stranger is fit he will need to come in and replace him.

Evans defense looks like it is going to be a real issue against players with some good footwork. Both Evans and Nappa are providing no impact off the bench, where the f*** is there aggression?? For such big boys they play like little girls, fire up ffs!! I know they are young and playing manly is not easy blah blah blah, but at the very least rip in and have a go by firing up and being aggressive by running and tackling f***ing hard, it isn't rocket science!!
Getting rid of LOD, MK, Tasi and Arona in one smack may have been abit hasty in hindsight. Given that JWH was always gonna miss afew match through suspension or injury. As much as I wouldn't of rated some of them that highly, they all had some good 1st grade experience.

LOD is the one Milanja!! God I wish that we still had him, a real enforcer with loads of aggression and took no prisoners! I loved what he provided us with last year, and holy hell we are missing that this year! The way things are looking I think that we have to go after one of those panther props, Grant or McKendry!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

          Here's looking at you, kid.

Grant is contracted to the panthers for next year. If we can strike up a deal with the panthers like we did with Jennings, we can afford to get Grant for next year with the panthers paying around half of his wage for us. As you say Milanga, he seems to be on the outer with them.

I thought Grant was great when playing for NSW in origin. He would be a fantastic pick up!

Im not blaming SKD for the loss by any means.. The men in pink didnt help us the slightest (quite the opposite), it would've been a miracle if we won that with that penalty count against and our lack of field possession. Yeah jennings knocked it on close to the line which couldve cost us but at least he threatens the line with his carries.. I agree he doesnt get involved enough but they need to give him good early ball.. FPN had a few mistakes in him but i was impressed by his carries. He was the only player that bent the line in my opinion. JWH and maloney have both had quiet starts to the year and RTS has been coming off his flank and leaving a clear corridor for opposition wingers but i blame that on his lack of confidence in SKDs defence which who could blame? Inglis makes him look silly everytime we play the rabbits, but rogers just gunna have to worry about his man. And whenever he runs the ball it seems to me he runs 20m sideways for 2m gain.

I'm no SKD fan but besides that knock on at the end of the game I don't see how he had such a pour game. Guys like Maloney and JWH have got to step it up.

Agreed.. But im sick of feeling a sense of relief everytime he manages to hold the ball and make a tackle on his man. He's a first grade player and has been for years. These errors should be well and truly out of his game and i shouldnt be shitting myself that he is going to faarrkkk up everytime the play goes towards him.

Poor defence? SKD has improved out of sight. Inglis can make anyone look silly. Let's face it. SKD has - often wrongly - people's favourite scapegoat since 2010. Statistically, SKD had a better game last night than Jennings. Maloney & JWH have been far worse this year. No-one blames them. Our backs look crap because our forwards are not dominating.

Which is probably because there stuffed from all the defence they are forcered to do.

SKD is our weakest link. Has been for years. i have learnt to look through my fingers when he is near the ball in attack and defence.

SKD will forever divide opinion. Is he a great centre? Absolutely not. Can he come up with some terrific games? Yep. Can he have a shocker? Yep.

SKD is never going to change. He is not going to get any better than what you see now. The guy is very inconsistent (rocks or diamonds) and thats why he will forever divide opinion. i dont really rate him simply coz hes far too inconsistent. But there are days where u think he may just have turned the corner. But alas , I have come to realise that there IS NO CORNER. What you see is what you get.

Personally i think there are probably better options out there for us than SKD. But im not gonna blame him for last nights loss.

I would prefer a centre who i dont have to watch and hope to god he doesnt mess anything up everytime they get the ball.. SKD knock on last night was embarressing. No it did not cost us the game, but there was no where near him. Knocking the ball on whilst coming into contact or whilst under pressure is understandable but that was just comical and only SKD could come up with something like that. And yeah his defence has drastically improved and inglis is a great player but how many time do u have bumped/ palmed off before u try and tackle low ffs
