Is my loyalty wrong?

As a Roosters man through and through, how can I not barrack for SBW,RTS,JWH,FPN whilst
they're playing for NZ in the World Cup? At the same time I cannot get enthused and cheer
a team that has chosen to ignore Jennings in favour of Tate, and has players like Gallen, Slater
and Boyd in it!
As much as I enjoy any Aussie victory on the world stage( except the Wobblies whom I can't
stand), I find myself enjoying my Roosters going around in black and white jumpers.

So am I wrong or have I grown old and senile?

What??? If your Australian your Australian. Sure, support them, wish them well etc but just because they're Roosters you don't drop your nation. At the end of the day it doesn't matter it's just a game but to me it's laughable how fanaticism leads to turn from your own.

I'm with you at the moment. I used to support Australia but now it's like supporting that smug squeaky clean qld team that I hate with a passion and am sick of seeing win soo every year. They win everything from games to awards with merit or no merit. In addition there have been no roosters for years and even this year they put dinosaur Tate in centres ahead of Jennings.
I also hate that rl despite being by far the better code is weak internationally. So I cheer for a competitive nz team for good of the game.
Things will change for me when this particularly annoying generation of qlders moves on but atm internationals mean jack shit to me to get all patriotic about it.

I hear many of our boys speak over the last 10 years or so and they don't all sound like Stralians.

Similar is when you hear many of the other nations players speak.

The lines are blurred man, and it's confusing everyone.

Especially the QLD redneck nutt bags.
