The media and there constant referral to the crowd as a 'sea of red & green' was sickening. I notice they didn't mention the crowd that Vermin drew this week.

9 hours is too long to be a the footy for a finals game[and our 20s at 1.30]

The stupid double header was a joke...as is the NRL who was responsible.
I cursed the NRL and its pink men all day and night.
      I wasn't the only one.

We totally had taken away from us any home final advantage we were supposed to have.

      F the NRL!
      F the double header!
      F the pink men!

people were turned off with the double header so didnt attend the game, i know i didnt because of it. If both had stand alone games we would have got around 30k at allianz alone, sharks and cowboys would have filled shark park. they lost alot of money and wont ever do it again. Stupid stupid idea.

How did Shandys protest go last night??? Did anyone see them all walkout then walk back in??? I didn't I just wondered did they get their message across to those that matter.

Yes, the 32k was combined however during our match only 19k I believe.
No way...the crowd was definitely nudging 30k for our game by my reckoning.

I thought the Double Header did not work. If our game was a stand-alone I think we would have got 25K and the sharks would have got 20K at Shark Park.
It did not feel like a home game to me.
And the break between the matches was too big with poor entertainment in between

I think Manly can say that was the best ever performance by a team who didn't score.

You guys can be extremely proud of your team. I thought it was a great RL crowd who were very knowledgeable. It was great seeing fans applaud defense like they would tries.

Interesting, in the old days teams would have taken penalties in front when 4 behind. Manly could have easily kicked themselves to victory last night.
Spot on with the penalties. If maloney had converted our only try, it makes a big mental difference, 2 points is probably harder to take when 6 behind, but in the back of your head for the leading team, a six point lead means worst case it will be extra time, or our halves start playing for a field goal.

As much as I would have felt more at ease with a 6 point lead, I think the 4 point lead kept our players desperate in defence, because they knew a try by manly would probably lose them the match.

So what did we end up having, 73,000 over 4 finals games? Avg of 18,000 per match, hope the nrl is happy.
