  • Double Header

All in all from what I saw last night the double header was an abject failure of the highest order.

There were more people at the Roosters V Rabbits Rd 26 than the Rooster V Manly. Channel 9 said 19,000 I think.

How much potential revenue did you lose?

NRL give yourself an uppercut of the biggest order and stop the BS that it was always planned; it wasn't it was a giant smokescreen that you hoped would cover up you colossal blunder of not booking a venue.

And while I am on you case..... how about a $10,000 fine each to Smith, Greenberg and Anderson for criticising the refs. They all said they got it wrong but a coach cannot!

Seriously, you should be fining the refs Checcin and Perenara and buy a clock with big hands for the timekeepers.

Rank amateur stuff and the code deserves better than this.

    Shame....

Didn't they say 32k last night???

What was strange was 21k Friday night.

I thought Souffs had more fans than anyone???

How did Shandys protest go last night??? Did anyone see them all walkout then walk back in??? I didn't I just wondered did they get their message across to those that matter.

      The FlogPen .

      You know it makes sense.

Yes, the 32k was combined however during our match only 19k I believe.

The concept was rubbish for a semifinal each game needs to be played in it's own right and if clubs has a history of mustering a decent crowd and aren't eligible for a home semi they should played at Parramatta stadium.

Blizzaro how they could actually count that figure???

Unless they counted who left with Shandys protest???

Maybe they only sold 21K. The cheats would have paid 21K of their own fans to come and watch them play and the vermin would have snuck in through the ANZ stadium sewage pipe for free. It definitely looked like there was more than 21K people there on friday.

Yeah I thought the crowd was gross, not that it caused me much of a problem but definitely too long a day for a lot of people.

Sharks supporters getting smashed celebrating their win, I don't begrudge that one bit, but the format of the day made it very unfortable for those watching the Easts game.

Had to laugh, down the bottom of Bay 30 we had a Shire boy in a brand new Sharks hat no other colours on (tryhard wannabe gangsta type) celebrating hard, making a nuisance of himself.
When asked to sit down he slurred back 'just stand up and look over me'.
This Rooster in his mid 40s who had seen it all before a hundred times without missing a beat shot back 'sit down 7 tackle try ****wit' and that was that.

How would they know 19k watched the Roosters & Manly ?
I thought during that match there was about 25k.

The Roosters v Melb game 6 weeks ago was a crowd of 19k ....there was certainly more during last nights second game !

Given that four NRL officials can't count up to 7, I doubt that one Ch9 official can count up to 19,000 !

There were a few Sharks supporters in the members section but a lot left after the win.Had two Shark supporters in front of us who were actually nice and there were lots of friendly banter with them during the cowboys game, they were gobsmacked when my brother told them of the 7th tackle blunder when they were leaving and they told us when they were leaving that they want the Roosters to win, it was nice not having dickhead supporters around us for once.

As a neutral supporter I though the day was fantastic. Holden cup was very competitive until the last 15 mins and then the two first grade games had everything. The first was a more free flowing game then the defence in the second was awesome from both teams.

I think Manly can say that was the best ever performance by a team who didn't score.

You guys can be extremely proud of your team. I thought it was a great RL crowd who were very knowledgeable. It was great seeing fans applaud defense like they would tries.

Interesting, in the old days teams would have taken penalties in front when 4 behind. Manly could have easily kicked themselves to victory last night.

I didn't think the hour between games would be a good thing but in the end it worked. Gave everyone time to digest the first match then there was its own build up to the second match.
