  • BBNP - Bring Back Nigel Plum

    Who's on the bandwagon?

Off contract this year, at the peak of his career and would fit into our system perfectly.

I certainly hope you are joking.

Not even slightly, the most underrated player in the comp. Bet he wouldn't cost much either because of it.

Certainly not tony the wheel or myself.

Wasn't the argument in the George Rose thread enough?
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

ill give you a few reasons why not...

            1. Boyd Cordner
            2. Sonny Bill Williams
            3. Mitch Aubbuson
            4. Aiden Guerra
            5. Frank-Paul Nu'uausala
            6. Luke O'Donnell
            7. Jack Bosden
            8. Kane Evans
            9. Dylan Napa
            10. Sam Langi

10 reasons to be exact. not to mention any promising youngsters in our U 20's (Meehan, Martin)

AND not to mention he will be 31 next year.

              ROUND 13

              FPN - 44 minutes, 8 runs for 77 metres, 20 tackles & 2 missed

              Nigel Plum - 54 minutes, 21 runs for 209 metres, 22 tackles & 0 missed

It's a no brainer, give him FPN's contract.

                R6 is right.

Also grew up a chooks fan, iirc.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

                  ROUND 13

                  FPN - 1 win, 0 losses

                  Plum - 0 wins, 1 loss

But seriously, wasn't expecting Plum to be putting up those numbers, if it was a straightforward contract swap we would be silly not to. That said, I think the possibility of FPN leaving should be used as the opportunity for one of our younger blokes to be given a real shot in FG, rather than buying someone like Plum.

TBH I was impressed with him yesterday.
I would have had him in the top 5 players on the field.
Solid, no nonsense tough nut who does his job.
                    Tackling technique is spot on.

Maybe we can get him to show SKD how it's done?

                      Round 7 - 20 runs for 171m
                      Round 8 - 12 runs for 106m
                      Round 9 - 16 runs for 129m
                      Round 10 - 15 runs for 146m
                      Round 11 - 24 runs for 203m
                      Round 13- 21 runs for 209m

He's gone from being exclusively an excellent defender to now being a very good yardage man as well. And he's getting through that work playing 40-50 minutes a game which is ridiculous.

Yeh was a Roosters fan as a kid, also fills the void of the token red head.

At 30, he'd be a very short term purchase.

                              At the cost of Cordner...
                              Comment of the year:
