Unfortunately the refs have a different criteria when calling Cameron Smiths forward passes to Mitchell Pearce's "forward" passes!

Exactly we may be a dumb footy side, but we dont deserve teh good passages of play to be penalised for that. We sare heavily and unfairly targetted and although were dumb,the targetting by the refs has directly cost us games.

Should we compare the Ash Graham BOD try a few weeks back when there supposedly was no separation to the Leilua one against Souffs last week? Or the B Smith one for Parra on Saturday night? The Roosters have been copping these sorts of decisions all year where other clubs get BOD and we get a thousand looks to find a way NOT to award the try. Again I am not blaming the refs for the team's predicament this year. The problems go much deeper than that, but Cowboymad could you please get out of the Chookpen and go haunt your own fan forum. I guarantee if the Cowboys were treated by the officials the way the Roosters have this year and others (2010 GF) you would have a completely different POV. Our team is not playing well. We deserve to be where we are on the ladder at the moment but that does not mean we Roosters fans do not have genuine grievances against the referees and officials. Did anyone else also see after we scored the first try and put the kick in the corner that when BJ was penalized for taking the player over the side line. Doesn't the player need to go out first before the penalty gets blown.

From that point they score and we go into the break losing whilst we should have been winning.

Conceeding points is a factor of not being disciplined is it not.....

Ofcourse the dogs would be high up in conceeding penalties, they have a man named Ennis in their team.

Where exactly are you getting the total amount of penalties conceeded stats from i'd like to view it myself.

It was in the local paper (Canberra Times) about 2 weeks ago, it was shown because the Raiders were getting a raw deal in terms of penalties for. I try not to buy into the penalties we don't receive ordeal, I am just sick to death of point-scoring situations being ruled upon incorrectly. I don't care (as much) if we concede a dud penalty which the opposition scores off in 3 sets time, it is just the incidents like Henry's no try on the weekend which piss me off. I don't mind you cowboymad, you bring an impartial view most of the time, I just struggle to see the argument against massive calls going against us this year.

I have seen it & yes for any other team it would have been fine but it was us & there in lies the

exactly. the penalty count was even against souths and didnt it make a difference to our ability to compete. that discounts the value and importance of certain decisions. we are prone to getting a few penalties in a row on their line early in the tackle count - ie makes no difference to the context of the game - almost to even it out

Bellamy (admittedly had an illegal team for majority of his career), Hasler and Bennett sides will never average 22 points a games over a 12 year period.
McGuire looks like another very good coach that has done alot of good work slowly getting the sh*t out of the bunnies the way he is going he will be in the same group as the 3 just mentioned.

Exactly, every team gets calls against them they all even themself out over the season and its no coincedence that the top 8 is usually always the best 8 teams during the year. Using the refs as an excuse is the easy way out - exactly what most of you fans criticise the players for doing but are yet doing the exact same thing by turning a blind eye and blaming the refs.

Go watch the Storm v Cowboys game last week and watch some of the calls that dudded the cowboys late in the 2nd half. I know what its like to have a team that packs it in when the going gets tough I have supported the cowboys all my life and up untill the last 18-24 months they had no backbone what so ever apart from when Rauhihi and Campion were at the club together in 04/05. But on that night they had several dud calls against them that went in favour of the storm but they fought hard for one another and came out on top.

The roosters at the moment are a young and rudderless squad at the moment who are continually taking the easy option.

Didn't the raiders have that against the gummies on Sunday - they looked fantastic, great handling and execution. It had a domino effect - sharks were so worried about having their line broken, they were standing and watching rather than moving up - partly as a result of great and convincing decoy runners. And they managed to do it without shepherding like bulldogs.
