I mentioned the same thing to my missus last night.

We should pump Toops with whatever it takes to keep him playing and offer 10k cash for each try assist down the left edge.

He wouldn't make the top 20 wingers I've seen and wouldn't be in the top 50 wingers of all time he's one of the most overrated players of all time.

Roosters fans running on the field last night aren't true Roosters fans.

I dont know what to make of it
But the thought that came to me was do you know how you always see a photo or video clip of some Souths dude wearing their jumper & its at the Superbowl or its at the Final in the world cup soccer or Tour de France well this time every time someone clicks on to watch the Alex Johnson scoring the most ever tries the first thing they will see is a Roosters jumper.

the fuss over it was a bit odd. footy tries are different from wickets taken in cricket or home runs hit in baseball in that they're a team thing. most of aj's tries wouldn't have been because of his individual brilliance.
but that said, it's not the kind of thing that will happen every day. the people spoke and it turned out alright. it was good for the game

How on earth could a real fan join a Souffs celebration as first on-site?

Or was it a ploy to forever be seen on footage to be a celebration spoiler? Lol
Hero for sure. He was cool, just super excited to enjoy the experience, even though he supports the opposition. Looked like he couldn't believe he got there first before a souths fan. The fact that he got there first is maybe the highlight of the whole thing for me.

Yes prepared to risk the 5.5 k fine whereas vermin fans too scared to risk a deduction from their fortnightly Centrelink payment's.

I didn't make anything of it. He just looked like a youngster enjoying a game of Rugby League and grabbed the opportunity when it came to have a run on the field. Without doubt he will replay this to his friends and family several times - good on him.

Also, the heritage 'Samsung' jersey he was wearing is a cracker and it certainly stood out.

Always nice to ruin Russell Crowe's day and for the Roosters to have a victory.

Even he admits alot of the tries he gets a served on a platter, but he does his job very well, rarely misses a chance, easy to say any other wingers would score the tries that he has, but we see far too many wingers out of position, Or drop an easy pill.

the focus on wingers these days seems to be the amount of hit ups they do, but their job has always been to score tries.

Is he overrated? I don’t think so.

But that's the thing. Was he a youngster?

Looked a bit older to me which stood out, hence the question.

Anyway all good I guess, he's pretty well known now. Funny when you think about it now.

Yeah it was great. Loved the celebration, and I'm glad this "Random Easts Bloke' did it - did he do it to spite Souffs or is he a traitor?

                            The ambiguity is poetic.

But more important question, is he on the Chookpen?

I remember the all the talk of Billy Slater running up the trys, and everyone saying, "but no ones ever gonna catch Irvine's record." Hopefully Toops can get to the 200 mark as well.
Toops is still playing as well as he ever has hope he plays on an absolute pleasure to watch

If anything I thought it made our fans look gracious.

I'm not sure you'd ever see a Souths fan being a good sport, if that's what you could call it?
