  • That #8 Rooster fan. Hero or Zero?

Trying to work out the motive of that #8 Roosters fan who was first over the fence & joined Johnson's celebrations.

    Hero or Zero?

How on earth could a real fan join a Souffs celebration as first on-site?

Or was it a ploy to forever be seen on footage to be a celebration spoiler? Lol

I found it highly amusing after all of Souths supporters talk of storming the field and then the warnings The first one one who had the balls to get over the fence was a Roosters supporter

Albo should be fined for being on the field and banned from.the stadium for life. That'll put and end to all the souffs home ground should be at the SFS talk.

In all seriousness its a great record for AJ to have achieved. I remember the all the talk of Billy Slater running up the trys, and everyone saying, "but no ones ever gonna catch Irvine's record." Hopefully Toops can get to the 200 mark as well.

Admittedly I don't follow Souffs much but I find it sorta weird that AJ's gotten this record with quite a few more years left in him.

Objectively I don't think he's the same calibre of player as Slater, Teddy (or who else is there... Toops / B-Moz?) Presume part of his success is that he's been injury free and a largely unmarked player?

His two tries last night felt choreographed. It was as if there was a gentleman's agreement that the record would drop.

I was more impressed with the fan that ran out on the field with a bucket of chips for Latrell

good thread. on the one hand it's obviously odd but i'd put it down to the bloke just getting caught up in the moment like people do whenever a camera is trained on them in the crowd. probably had a mate taking a photo of him.
in retrospect, after we won, it was a nice touch. easts/souths rivalry would be better if there was a bit of mutual respect

That's why he raced into the change rooms as he doesn't like chips..

However if it was KFC he would of tackled the bloke for it.

Yea i had no issue with it .

its a moment in. Time, unlikely to be repeated for a long time .

Pretty cool it wa an easts/rabbits clash , imagine if it was souths vs titans or newcastle , that'd suck .

I say we keep Toops playing until he beats the record out of spite.

There is no way a Roosters team would make a gentleman’s agreement to allow him to score two tries against us at home to break a 57 year long record.

I regard that as more embarrassing for our club than Billy Smith's e-bike accident! Shame!!

I'm also trying to work out why the Channel 7 sports report on Saturday's Sunrise program each time made a big deal of the try record and completely ignored the score at the end of the game. Even a passing mention would've been fine.
