It’s a good shout, Trell could wreak havoc on our right. Fingers crossed Toia back, but will he underdone.

Not a single club would choose dce. Not one. Every single club chooses Hugo, every single day of the week.
i reckon the knights, titans, st g, wests, wahs, penrith, souffs would take dce based on existing combos,

Those were my thoughts as well.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

The Warriors, who flogged us by 30, would replace one of their halves with dce? Penrith would sign dce.

I'm not sure what you're on matty.

My thinking is given the choice

Penrith, cleary goes down, dce the organiser, talagi running 5/8th.

Wahs, metcalfe the primary half but leans into a running style more . Cht very hit/miss never really cemented his position, but i reckon metcalfe, dce would be a neat combo

Im not saying either would actively pursue dce , but given a choiceof dce or
                  Hugo ?

There you go, thats what im on , but very subjective .

What are the odds he gets the double next week end?
\Im going to put money on it.
Of course it has to happen against us.

If Souths run out the same team next week, Im worried.
I just feel Souths are in for a good year if they stay fit & if Fifita, Latrell, Wighton, Koloamatangi, Campbell Graham, Murray, Johnson, Walker & Arrow fire.

They stay fit they are def top 8 .

But we should be top 4 .

But goddamn the riff and melba look good , so 2 spots gone, nulla maybe another, that means we have to go top 4 at the expense of bris.

                        Which is entirely possible.

DCE's decline wouldn't be as steep if we had a bigger and better team for him to play in.

Of course we didn't play with any rhythm or consistency.

And of course the NRL are happy it's had the desired effect of sowing the seeds of disharmony in our most despised club and fanbase, certainly amongst the panic merchants on this thread.

Let's face it, if all our games are refereed and "bunkered" like that, you can forget us making the 8, no matter whether Hugo, DCE or a ressurected Jesus and Dally Messenger are in our lineup.

I will say, I watched the Canberra Eagles game last night and I was full of admiration for how they dealt with an opening 20 minutes of sodomy by the match officials that eclipsed even the rogering we got in Auckland. According to Ricky, they had trained specifically to deal with this exact situation (being refereed out of a game). They even had to deal with the penalty goal on fulltime to send to golden point (not the worst decision, as they were offside, but how often is that penalty given?)

The raiders were robbed pretty bad in the finals last year, particularly to get the NRL favourites the broncos into the GF.

I can honestly say I have sympathy for Ricky and I hope they do well.
Sorry but you don't get beaten by 40 because of referees. In 2014 we lost the penalty 11-4 in Auckland the same as it was on friday night except it was us who beat them by 40 (might've even been the same score line)

The current team plays stupid i'll disciplined hero ball footy trying to score miracle tries off every play while the team in 2013-14 was a lot more patient, got through sets and usually dominated teams in the back end of games.

If you put that 2014 team against the 2026 the 2014 team would flog this current lot it wouldn't be a contest.

Glad he didn’t, still gives Toops a shot at breaking it first if he scores 28 tries v souths.

They’re never far away and they seem to emotionally lift more than us in h2hs. Don’t like them but always respect them.
