what are Robbos instructions? And were they being followed?
Because there looked like there was no traditional game plan in place.
Crabbing and dishing it back inside is taboo. It's a bad habit that's crept into DCE game. The space needs to be preserved for the backs!

Sammy's early ball to Billy when Teddy scored is what your strike players love.

If we lose first 10 games DCE will be dropped for Hugo if we don’t lose the first 10 games DCE will stay in the run onside unless injured.
Robbo will not be swayed by pressure from the supporters unless we are 0 from 10
Our coach doesn't pay any homage to us fans.

Choosing to side with and support DCE over a locally developed Roosters junior Hugo Savala is football treason, that goes for fans, coaches or chairmen.

Manly appeared to be more cohesive with their new halfback. Just my opinion.

Manly v Raiders was a great game! Turbo is all class. It's the little things he does.
Best game from Turbo in a long time too.

If you gave every other team in the comp the choice; you can either take DCE from us for whatever money he's on. Or you can take Hugo from us for whatever money he's on.

Not a single club would choose dce. Not one. Every single club chooses Hugo, every single day of the week.

                Season 2025:

                Daly Cherry-Evans:

                Try Assists: 21, Tries: 4, Successful Tackles: 415, Tackle Breaks: 35, Offloads: 20, Linebreaks: 5, Linebreak Assists: 16, Kick Metres: 9547, 40/20 Kicks: 3, Errors: 16, Running Metres: 1563

                Hugo Savala:

                Try Assists: 10, Tries: 4, Successful Tackles: 450, Tackle Breaks: 20, Offloads: 5, Linebreaks: 6, Linebreak Assists: 2, Kick Metres: 6560, 40/20 Kicks: 0, Errors: 18, Running Metres: 974

                ---

If you look at the stats objectively these players are not even close. The stats prove that DCE is significantly the better playmaker, ball runner and kicker. Hugo beats him slightly in successful tackles made and offers one extra linebreak.

After reading those stats anyone arguing that Hugo is better than DCE is doing so in bad faith.
Ironically to your argument, I actually think it’s the things you can’t measure that DCE brings to the playing group; communication, leadership, aura etc. A player can bring others confidence and I can see how DCE would do that. I can see the value and I can see the upside over Hugo but my concern remains his defensive technique and contact - it was troubling Friday night and was also a concern last season. I think he avoids it.

I don't understand how you can seriously draw any conclusions from that farce of a game, full of disallowed fair tries to us, allowed no tries to them, phantom offside calls when they dropped the ball on our line x2, and a cricket score of phantom 6 agains and sets of 30 tackles on our line.

Of course we didn't play with any rhythm or consistency.

And of course the NRL are happy it's had the desired effect of sowing the seeds of disharmony in our most despised club and fanbase, certainly amongst the panic merchants on this thread.

Let's face it, if all our games are refereed and "bunkered" like that, you can forget us making the 8, no matter whether Hugo, DCE or a ressurected Jesus and Dally Messenger are in our lineup.

I will say, I watched the Canberra Eagles game last night and I was full of admiration for how they dealt with an opening 20 minutes of sodomy by the match officials that eclipsed even the rogering we got in Auckland. According to Ricky, they had trained specifically to deal with this exact situation (being refereed out of a game). They even had to deal with the penalty goal on fulltime to send to golden point (not the worst decision, as they were offside, but how often is that penalty given?)

The raiders were robbed pretty bad in the finals last year, particularly to get the NRL favourites the broncos into the GF.

I can honestly say I have sympathy for Ricky and I hope they do well.
