We didn’t lose because of DCE. I can’t believe we have supporters hoping for his failure.

I wasn’t stoked about his signing, but you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think he still has value to add to the team.

Give him and the team to build, we know it takes time. Patience fam, DCE and the team will get better

Let's lay blame on DCE but ignore the fact we were ill disciplined and lacked ball control.......like last year and the year before and........

Let's hope for week by week improvement, cohesion, and consistency.
This from one of DCE's biggest supporters. You have become a true company man.

Anyone thinking we win the premiership this year with DCE is kidding themselves. You have a better chance of meeting the Easter bunny.

I also tend to look at their output.

Sammy - 8 positive plays with 2 negative plays

DCE - 3 positive plays with 6 negative plays

Players like N Cleary can go 20 plus positive plays with 1 negative play when he is firing and has the ball on a string. Cam Smith would have a 50 plus to 1 ratio for most of his career.
Hang on, we keep giving sam walker a break as he is developing .

He debuted in 2021, if im not incorrect, so this is his 5th season of fg .

N cleary debuted in 2016, by 2020 he was having his break out year and prob should have been dm that year .

I get it , walker is a gambler, and that come with an element of risk, however training wheels are now off , multiple dumb plays like ineffective early tackle kicks should be behind him imo.

                I’m with you

Those early set kicks were frustrating to watch, they weren’t high risk attacking plays - just poor decisions that killed our sets and handed momentum straight back to NZ.

The expectation needs to be better for Sam.

Sam Walker ranked number 1 last year for average try assists coming off an ACL injury.

He doesn't need a break, he just needs his team to give him some field position so he can continue to show that he is the most elite creator in the NRL competition.

He's 23 years old and still on his Ps mate.

For every N Cleary example there are 10 halves who hit ones straps around the age of 25/26.

You need to look at a players output.

The gaslighting in this thread is unbelievable.

People aren't blaming DCE for the loss, most of the blame seems to be aimed at the referee which is laughable, but DCE was shit there's no getting around it and he was brought in because he's allegedly better than Savala and would allegedly bring this experience to the team that somehow the oldest squad in the league was lacking and he didn't.

Hugo Savala and Sam Walker were 5 wins 2 losses when starting together last year with an average of 29 points scored per game but it's great we blew it up for a geriatric from Manly.

lol at the idiots who praised Uncle Nick for bringing DCE here. How could anybody think such an average has been would compare to Cooper Cronk?

And the point about Cronk these people miss is that DCE is already older than Cronk was in the 2019 grand final.

I was opposed to the DCE signing, but he actually looked better than I expected. Cronk had probably even more clunk in his early season displays.

There will still be more tears than giggles this year I fear, but it won't be on DCE exclusively. Robbo et al are the architects of how it all pans out.

Looking for plusses, DCE is one the of the most earthy intelligent communicators in the game. That won't win us games though.
