  • Marky struggled to keep up with the play when he moved to fullback reacting way too late to defuse the incoming threat.

Teddy tracks the ball beautifully, reacts accordingly and sprints across giving himself the best opportunity to foil the play.

It takes 9 or 10 years of professional training to build that muscle & hardness to play FG. Sammys got another 5 years of weights & hard training to get another 5 to 7kg of muscle on.
I like Moses too. He's a very solid halfback however there was a period where his development stagnated. He's now gone next level and will make sure the Eels make the 8!

Moses is 31 years old. Earns $1.3 mill a year and is contracted till the end of 2029.

His mum and dad were very fast runners in their day Mickie. My sister said they'd out run everyone at the extended family picnic days. Sammy sure is maturing every year and I sincerely hope we get to keep him to watch the development you just described. He and Hugo are my favourite players, along with Billy & Toups of course.

It's funny too because I think it's almost easier than a 40/20 in the sense that you've got 40 metres of touchline to find as opposed to just 20m.

DCE kicked a cheeky one off a tap restart in the 2013 GF. Clever play!

Marky was off his wing when Addo-Carr scored his try.
Teddy had the centre covered, Marky as he often does was missing from where he should've been.

              • Did you see the giant forward pass by the Eels in Moses' try?
Eels got plenty of 6 agains, you'd hope the Eels weren't being favoured in the 'officiating dept'.

We are lucky that Trent does give him free rein to do this. Norhing worse that feeling stifled or claustrophic and not being allowed to be your natural self.
So good hey, I reckon having DCE could unlock him a bit. He’s never really had someone to take the reins as needed. Keary was a gun, but not a HB. This is Sammy’s first real HB tutor on the field.

That's why I've really warmed up to the idea now of DCE being a mentor to both Sammy & Hugo.

How great does he look in the red, white & blue? But then again, even the roughest of heads look 10 times better in our jersey..

Here are some clips from the club's Instagram..no sound though but the crowd seemed to really enjoy the night, despite the weather

That just sounds like bad player welfare....who agreed to this

                      • Whenever in possession the team looked as though they were lined up to defend. Same same seen for most of last season.

                        • Collins driven back 2 metres after last nights kick off.

That never happens when he plays for QLD. I find this so frustrating!

                          Why Lindsay why?

He slows down and turns his body into contact loosing all momentum and gets dominated
not what he used to do a few seasons ago
honestly wasting our money for a has been
he is to slow and one dimensional for the game now

                            • Am I on my pat malone thinking a lack of speed is our achilles heel this year? Other teams just seem to be a bit sharper about what they are doing.

He probably saw lots of other players running like express trains into the defence, being lined up and smashed senseless.
Changing pace and direction makes the opposition's defence adjust and our attacker lives to fight another 'day'.
