Fark I hate back yard footy!

Since when does a coach have the right to serve up that rubbish?

It was like today was the 1st time they all got together after a long break.

It'll be a season of loose Roosters style footy where we'll need to score enough points to compensate for our lack of respect for the basics.

big difference between the main 17 and the drop to the next
missing 5 from the starting side which 3 should be back for round 1

walker only real shining light, gee we missed him when he was injuried he will top the try assists easily this year
worry after our starting back 5 what is avaialable, centres short so Marky may need to fill in there! Talau was the best of the nsw cup guys, noticed Ramsay didn’t play again
      pauga Was poor

noticed Critchon was off, let’s hope not a re peat of 2023, seems to get dominated and try’s to get the offload all the time
still feel we are another big middle short
waiting for Wong to explode but doesn’t have they real fast twitch feel about him yet

      only positive to injuries tonight
Depends how bad the eye poke on Foketi was, hopefully nothing too serious because he's one who could go to another level this year.

I think he was top 10 last year only playing 10 games
if he plays the season he will easily be up there

Yes his defence was brutal tonight
Off tonight Wong may be one sweating for round 1 and rads may find it difficult to break straight in
hopefully Nat, toia and toops all good for round 1

Another boring game where the result meant zero. Bring on the real footy.

Whyte, Collins and Steep all looked very good in the middle.

The only take out of trials for me....

Dragons and knights are in big trouble.

Souffs and parra will be in the fight for the 8 .

                  thats bout it .

Toia is supposed to be right for Round 1 which is a blessing because next man up isn't obvious nor fills me with any confidence.
Some Facebook meme popped up and told me Robson is eyeing round 3. Probably just an algorithm targeting gullible Easts tragics though.

                    • Only a trial so means nothing.

I was surprised Pauga was picked as a centre. He is woeful in defence.

We are definitely thin in the three-quarters.

Yes I hope he is ok. He’s strikes me as a pretty tough young bloke and it definitely affected him.

First two eels try’s came from defensive horror shows. Pauga and then Wong.

                            Correct
I thought talau may have got a shot there before pauga
if a centre goes down we may need to move Marky in and bring someone on the wing in like talau

He seems smaller and thinner than a couple of years ago.
His legs are like match sticks.

                              • we totally lost the ruck in the second half. Couldn't tackle and their play the ball speed just made such a huge difference

Pauga had a nightmare and that can happen but he's not first grade material.

I thought Tom Rodwell was by far the best of the back up outside back options. I'm not sure he's quite a good enough athlete to hold a place in first grade but his effort is incredible and he made good decisions.

I really hope we pick Egan ahead of Wong. Wong offers so little in attack and he gets caught out too much in defence. I'd rather just accept the standard handling error from Egan than the rest of the dross from Wong.
