our lack of backline depth is really grim. Pauga rarely lets us down but he's not a weapon and I hope Talau doesn't have to play any first grade. I pretty much feel the same about Cody Ramsey

I dislike him, but I wonder if we can somehow sneak in the back door and grab Lomax from the Storm for the season.

it makes the Garrick signing for next season make a lot more sense but we need another two outside back signings for 2027.

      How do rate Garrick?
Astute signing, or a solid affordable acquisition?

I think it depends on the price. He's a good quality first grader, he's got size and decent pace. Defence is ok not brilliant, but centre is a tough position to defend. And he can score a try plus kick goals. So...I'm ok with it. Would prefer there to be a young guy coming through and hope the $$ isn't exorbitant

Garrick has signed a 4 year deal with us so if we decide to let Sammy go at the end of 2027 we have a solid goal kicker.

Like we've got a lazy $700k to spend on Lomax.

Talau can play however struggles with confidence. Great project and hopefully Robbo can get him firing!

Don't forget Toops was a Parramatta discard. I remember him being no better than Tommy Talua in his early days.

4 years worries me a little. 2027 will be his age 30 season. Garrick at 32 and 33 doesn't excite me much

Toops hasn't played a full season for years now - if we get 15 games out of him that will be a win
Luckily we have plenty of backline depth this season

Not my cuppa tea. Strange signing imo.

Murray Taulagi would've been my target.

                    Yes, it's a trial.
Gotta find out what they can and can't do.
He needs to stay on his wing and let nobody past him down the line to score.
Seems Dom got punted because he didn't understand.

Toops played 24 games last season and his stats were impressive.

                        .
player swap though. Nat Butcher and a reserve outside back? (I know I know)

he's played 24 games in each of his last two seasons. no guarantee he'll do that this year but his form is good.

bit surprised we've only gone for 24 players and the reserves are packed with backs. looks like the forwards will be getting some good game time

                            Careful mate.

Butcher Bro's Police patrol these areas.

Nat is your perfect prop rotation player who's mobile enough to cover right edge or lock IF he's part of a dominant pack otherwise he's just another toiler doing their job.

Starting a game with Nat Butcher at right edge is akin to putting the white flag up.

Have the 2 points. We surrender

Daniel Tupou (289) needs 11 games to reach 300 and 22 to be most games for the Roosters ( JWH on 310)

mmm will he get another season in 2027 if short of the record at the end of 2026?

                                One for the road perhaps
