This could be Api syndrome.Originally posted by JAF View PostIn my opinion and based on 2025 form:
1) Haas
2) Tapine
3) AFB
4) Whyte
5) JFH
I believe Whyte has the potential to become the #1 prop over the next couple of years.
As for Collins, he is more of a workhorse rather than a gamebreaker, and must be doing something right to be continually picked in the QLD and Australian teams.
A player and in this case JFH leaves a premiership winning team and we forget just how good they are.

FYI
Moses Leota has won 4 comps and featured heavily in all 4 campaigns.
Leota and JFH bashed the opposition into submission allowing N Cleary and Luai to play off the front front and take all the credit throughout the Panthers 4-peat. Leota should've been doing the Rexona TV ads imo.
Whyte has yet to make a statement in a big NRL game. Zero premierships, zero grand finals. Played well for NZ in the Pacifica Cup Final however not the best barometer of a players current status.
All good as he's only young and tracking nicely! Ranked 6th and behind so many great names is more than respectable.

Mate leota's resume speaks for itself, he is a different sort of prop to whyte, but id take him all day every day over most other props.Originally posted by tloos1999 View Post
Leota ahead of Whyte is (respectfully) one of the stupidest things I have seen on this forum. If you are basing it off premierships, well, Leota is #1 on this list - if anything else, Whyte is in every facet the superior forward, and player at this current moment.
One of the most underated players in the nrl .

We need an Alpha. This should be a priority moving forward imo.Originally posted by Thirteen View PostHaas Number 1. Daylight second.
Collins probably top 15. Gets man handled way too often in every single game. How often did we see Jarred man handled? NEVER!
Our pack is no longer feared!

I agree, Lindsay has never been a powerful ball runner but his best seasons he is more of a worker and a great cover defender.Originally posted by Thirteen View PostHaas Number 1. Daylight second.

As for Naf, on his day he can match the top props and is only getting started.

Not sure about 'ranking' them, but I wouldnt swap Whyte for any of them. Gotta dance with the one what brung ya.
Would love Joey Tapine in our pack though, he'd be my external pick.Last edited by Jacks Fur Coat; 02-18-2026, 10:27 AM.

The two Penrith props in their premiership winning sides (JFH and Leota) were not used as metre eaters. Well thats what I rember Gus etc talking about.... their mission was firstly defensive. Slightly smaller but agile. So their on ball stats might not stack as well as others. I think Lindsay is similar.
But watch when people talk about our cap!! All of a sudden we will have 3 of the top 5 props and how can we fit them all in!!!
