I have Nafahu in 6th but rising. The wildcard is Carrigan who can play front and second row and lock and would always be in my 17 right now if I'm picking a 'best of NRL' team. But I don't think I'm calling him a prop for this purpose

Collins isn't in my top 10 and probably top 15. He's consistent and has a high floor, but he just never dominates games, rucks or opposition front rowers

Would have to come from within, far too expensive otherwise, even with our extended cap .
Any chance Vaa will aggressive into a mean SOB?

But watch when people talk about our cap!! All of a sudden we will have 3 of the top 5 props and how can we fit them all in!!!
JFH is the best ball playing Prop and then daylight.

He'll often play the link role when his team goes left. Looks like he's going to hit the ball up, draws the A and B defender then shifts to his outside man with precision and style.

        What a player!

I reckon Spence needs to step up and fill the void.

Comfortably the most valuable forward and he has a huge motor. Maybe V12

He also lifts those around him making Carrigan the perfect big game player. You know he has your back!

yep. I'd love to have played with him. And he never stops. consistent effort, consistent performance on both ends of the ball. top 10 in tackles and hit ups last season

Where would JWH in his prime sit amongst the above company?

My head hurts thinking about it.

Fark off I can't have 2 equal firsts.

                    1. JWH and JFH
                    2. Haas

After this season Nafahu will top 5 easy.

Smart move by the club locking him down till the end of 2029 where he should be the games best middle.

What concerns me about these long term deals is that you have a player who is potentially worth $1.3 mill a year and is on $700k a season. This could potentially effect a players performance as no one likes to be under payed.

Giving 1.3 mil for potential is not smart but paying someone 700k (very good money) until they reach their potential is smart.
Players who are on $700k & become elite get pay rises.

Do you have any recent examples where a player was upgraded from middle tier money to top tier elite money whilst they're still under contract?

His manager should've insisted that he only signs to the end of 2027. This in the long run would be best for both parties.

I'm not giving 100% in 2028/29 if I'm on $700k and my true market value is north of $1.3 mill.

Tino is on $1.2 mill a year already.

$1.5 mill a year could well be the new $1.2 mill a season in 2028/29

No because no recent Chooks have done that but someone like Mini did.
If Whyte becomes elite over the next 12 to 18 months the Chooks will upgrade his contract.
