Lets see how DCE pans out, for me it should be Sammy and Hugo, no one else threatening.

No chance it’s Walker & Savala unless DCE is out injured. DCE still has one of the best kicking games in the business & it’s far superior to Savala who can only really kick long. DCE will kick the ball into dangerous positions & create so many scoring options for Topps & Marky M. He has a steady head which Walker needs & one that Savala doesn’t have yet. Last year proved Savala is still miles off & incapable of closing out games, slowing games down etc like DCE can. His leadership will also be huge for Teddy. Scala can get there,but he’s half the player that DCE is at this stage. Take another year of learning,building his craft,mingle & body & he steps in.

I didnt see the game because Hooters didnt have it on but my thoughts are
Neither Va'a boys have the ticker to be anything in the NRL. I know one of them has gone & De La Salle will follow his brother out the door. Ive been saying this for more than a year now.
When people say Hugo should be in the 17, I say where does he play? Hugo is an organising halfback & if he's not doing that then I dont think the utility role is for him.
Is there a line up out at the gap?

Mate you have answered your question. Hugo should be 7 and Sammy 6. Last year we scrapped into the finals, with this combo only playing a few games together at the end. DCE should be the back up. He couldn't get Manly into the 8.

With Hugo there he has to right? As bad as it would look on Robbo, you put the team as a unit first.

What worries me though is, Keary was fortunate enough not to spend some time playing Cup when it was clear as day that he needed to be dropped.

It was Roosters vs Polynesia plus 1 skinny white lad. Most of their modest income would go towards the grocery/food bill. They are seriously big units for their age.

Apparently Sizzler is making a comeback.

Meanwhile we, the losing team, had all skinny white lads with a sprinkling of Polynesia.

I'm happy that our star players had a day off and didn't get injured.

I agree with this - I don’t see Hugo developing any better by playing NSW Cup
he has already proved he is a step up from that level

There's been enough "rebuilding"...we now need to go with as many experienced first graders as possible.

Come October DCE could be gone, retired.
Hugo needs to work hard, learn and improve in Cup, star there first then be promoted to firsts full time if he's good enough.

Not I.
He's already good enough for that...but not good enough yet to replace Walker or DCE.
