Latrell and Fifita might have also packed the game in by then and formed a wrestling tag team instead.

Murray and Graham are also already busted.

You've presented the best case lightning in a bottle scenario. It may happen. But for more likely it does not.

Either way Haas is a great signing for sure. But it's more likely they miss the top 8 for those 3 seasons than win a comp.

I remember the hype over Latrell's signing and he's been an abject failure; barely playing a finals game in 6 years for the Vermin.
    Totally agree.

There is no doubt he would be a great signing for any team, but they have possibly the worst spine in the league.

3 million dollar players and none in spine. How many established players will be shown the doors to pay his contract?

A latter day Beetson with more toe.

Can't see that Trell has been a "total failure"; that's wishful. It's been a bumpy ride with the judiciary and off field but they're a different side when he's available. look at some of the clips from last season.

Tino would have been great type of forward leader I’d have in the team everyday of the week would fit our culture also alas not to be we are building.
Nat Butcher ran for almost 200m against them last year at Sandcorp. Don't get me wrong he's a great player but meh I'm not worried about him going there they have no halves and Wayne will surely finally retire soon. Honestly the scabs signing Haas has all the makings of a big name signing that we used to make and it didn't work out.

I do wish we'd have gotten Tino I'm more upset about not getting him but I'm glad he stayed with the Titans and didn't go to Melbourne.

Slot Haas into the Panthers team and they become unstoppable imo.

A team with an unbalanced roster and weak spine sign him and it becomes counter productive as there's no money left in the kitty to strengthen key positions.

Imo they'll end up moving Mitchell back to Fullback next year and go with a budget left centre that can hopefully do the job. Still short a 6, 7 and 9 as i can't see Cody Walker playing beyond this season.

Any Souffs fan will tell you he's been an abject failure.

In 4 years at the Roosters he played 96 games for 65 tries. That's 25 games and 16 trys per year.

At Souffs he's played 86 games for 42 trys. That's just over 14 games and 7 trys per year.

2 Premierships in 4 years at the Roosters. Only played on 1 finals series in 6 years for Souffs. And costs 1m per year.

Thats the very definition of an ABJECT FAILURE.

The pressure and expectations internally and especially externally will be on Haas to deliver and that can weigh some players down when things are not working out as expected.

Often, players leaving higher ranked teams to sign with lower-ranked ones doesn't work out for a variety of reasons.

Souffs fans will be expecting a premiership and nothing less come 2027.

I can't see this making a massive difference to them when they have gaps in their backs to fill. That would have been a higher priority to address.

Beetson's ball skills were superior and as silky as a playmaker.

To watch a man of his size with such soft hands was quite surreal.

The vermin’s biggest problem is their halves. Walker isn’t getting any younger and has become very injury prone. Surely they’ve got no money left to buy a decent half. Hass as good as he is wasn’t able to help the broncos to a premiership until they signed Reynolds, got Hunt back and the drug driver started to develop into an NRL player. Not to mention Walsh.

123 try involvements in 86 games is hardly a flop. The bloke’s still averaging about 1.4 a game, so he’s clearly produced for them.

But if we’re being real, he hasn’t exactly owned the big finals moments the way a “best in the game” should. Good numbers, just hasn’t always delivered when it’s been do-or-die due to injury or suspension.

he is capable of magic and can score and assist as well as most people when he's close to the line. the try involvements aren't his problem though. It's his hit ups, yards etc and then his defense at the back. He's lazy and he looks for the flashy things. He's one of the most gifted players I can remember but he doesn't grind. Centre is by far the best position for him - he's just not fit or active enough to play fullback.

Apparently Trell and Fafita’s pitch to Hass was that Bennett doesn’t go hard on them with training. Kind of explains the whole mentality at Souths.

it came down to - Haas wanted a clause in his contract that said he can leave for R360 if it gets going
                            Broncos said no
                            Souths said yes

So it's quite possible only a 1yr deal

this is probably good for souths. haas is a very good player. if fifita plays to potential they'll be lethal in the forwards. too early to be sure but they'll probably be competitive
