  • New Emblem

It's been rumoured that we're modernising the Rooster, presumably to something simpler and more graphic as is the trend.

Could it be the one on the new Adidas training merch?

Nothing radical, but nice and clean.

Actually that's exactly the same one that was on last year's training crap.

    Nothing to see here.

I don't mind having a secondary emblem as I appreciate it's clean cut and looks better on some merchandise and in promotional and marketing material but I hope we never move away from a proper crest on our jersey.

We are the only foundation club to have played every season in the top grade, it's important we continue to lean into that heritage.

Hopefully they will keep the current one as far and away the best one - I saw the new Brisbane Bronco's one which to me looks average to say the least - Brisbane looks like ARISBANE and no mention of Bronco's - The Horse mmm even ancient times folk could draw better Horses.

Could you please post the 5 emblems we've had Sutho, I dont know how to do it.
My favourite emblem is the Rooster standing on the ball with Easts to win under it

I like them all but the current one is definitely the best one including in the NRL - I know over time there has been debate about whether they should change back to Eastern Suburbs Roosters but I am okay with Sydney Roosters

Apart from the Sydney City one in front of the bridge, I like all of them. I too love the current NRL one.

I'm working on scrapbooking a lot of my memorabilia and on the cover of my first one, I have the botton right hand logo. It was a cardboard one and looks great on the white scrapbook ($9 from K-mart). My other favourites are the top row far right and far left. I'm not familiar with the red one in the middle top row.

                        I hope not.
That emblem has no blue in it.
Rumour has it that we have to pay to use the Opera House sails in our logo.
If so, maybe that could be a reason for change.
Boxing kangaroo for yachting (should be spelt 'Yot').. aggro Rooster to show we're ready to "fight" would be good.

I'm sure we can afford it. But personally I think the sails on the coq look ridiculous.

there we are trying to bridge the gap between sport and culture and they want us to pay for it? i like the reference to another sydney icon but the emblem doesn't need it.

Never thought about that... would agree whole heartedly except for the fact that the OG Easts coq stood on a footy, no crest at all.

And also that before we ripped the coq sportif off the French touring team we had no totem at all.

                              Just three colours.
