A pity he had to retire, belted in the head almost every tackle with short sharp forearm attacks as he was going to the ground.Originally posted by Red. View PostNot much happening in the off season so I thought I'd share this.
I saw Boyd Cordner at Tucker Cafe in Randwick yesterday.
He was having lunch with his partner and still looks fit as a fiddle.
Nothing much ever done about it.

He must have moved there recently. According to Uncle Nick he'd bought a place in Eastlakes and was living there with his wife.Originally posted by DannLaRusso View PostI live out near Rouse Hill in Sydney's North West and have seen Spencer numerous times up at my local shops, and over the holiday period I saw him 3-4 times at my gym training alone.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

funny how real estate agents work with part of the junction becoming 'queens park'. still, these days 'bondi junction' isn't slumming it.Originally posted by Red. View PostApparently Angus Crichton has bought a house in my Hood. Might bump into him when walking the dog.
i liked it when angus lived at the site of the old paddo taxi base. hard to believe that hadn't been heritage listed

You are absolutely right Caz. When I was a kid it was Bondi Junction. It still has the same postcode.
As for the Old Taxi Combined site it was always gonna be gobbled up by developers. I've got a friend who lives there and they did a pretty good job on the apartments.

yeah, if anything it was a surprise it wasn't gobbled up earlier. lasted well into the 90s if not early 00s before the move to alexandria. in some circles it was called the eighth wonder of the world ...Originally posted by Red. When I was working as a bank teller in the 90's at Bondi Junction, I had a very upset customer because her property was valued under the Bondi Junction postcode and not Woollahra. It had nothing to do with snobbery but in real estate terms, it's all about the name and boundaries.Originally posted by Red. View PostYou are absolutely right Caz.
