As for the Old Taxi Combined site it was always gonna be gobbled up by developers. I've got a friend who lives there and they did a pretty good job on the apartments.

Slightly OT but when we lived at Paddington in the 60 s we could pick up NBN 3 in Newcastle on the TV, it was actually our clearest channel picture wise but every now and then you would get the taxis combined signal cut across that channel, was funny hearing some of the taxi talk coming across the TV.
