    sciencenordic.com

"11,000 years ago, the Earth was undergoing huge climate changes.
The massive ice sheets that once covered large parts of the globe had all but melted and sea levels were rising."

    Well there you go.

Snowball Earth was a good documentary.
If you take out this modern political bullshit, climate change is a very interesting subject.
There's been life extinction events caused by asteroids, super volcanoes and climate change, like the oceans lacking oxygen and runaway greenhouse effect.
There's actually a lot of good documentarys on Utube.

Zzzz... the enhanced greenhouse effect is established science. Pollution/waste is also established science. Nothing to do with politics.

The only politics you get is people from the far-right being obtuse in denying the existence of pollution and its broader consequences because they're in bed with the fossil-fuel industry, which hates renewables. Why does the far-right get involved? Well that's what being CONSERVATIVE means! Not wanting to change established norms. Spruiking the line that change will hurt us, so should be avoided.

The fear mongering from the far-right is that all the jobs in the fossil fuel industry will dry-up if we adopt non-polluting renewables. Happy to have the (valid) economic argument, but denying the impacts of pollution in attempt to prop-up one's self-interest in the said industry is flat earth style nonsense.

Normal climate change happens with small changes in the average temperature happening over millions of years... not over 50 years, snugly aligning with carbon output and degradation of the ozone layer.

      ---

If you're interested in challenging the theory behind year 7 science, maybe we can discuss why you disagree with Newton's laws and E=MC2 instead? I heard that nobody ever split the atom, the moon landing's a hoax and gravity's just a political conspiracy theory.

If there's no fossil fuel industry there won't be any jobs left in it.
Wisdom dictates establishing a foolproof renewables industry/system..then and only then closing down the fossil fuel industry.

There's your myth right there. You should have said, 'polluting unreliables'. Flat earthers only see what is directly in front them and don't look any further, same as the hysterical global warming alarmists.
As for the fossil fuel industry self interests, your messiah Al Gore has openly admitted to investing in renewables as do those who are pushing the AGW lie (Turnbull, Holmes a Court, Pelosi, Kerry). All the while they still have their harbourside mansions (what no sea level rise?) and fly to climate conferences in private jets telling their disciples to do as they say, not as they do.

You talk about established science. Flat earth was once established science, as was the earth centric universe and woe to anyone who dared challenge that.

Wow, an early start to the ski season! How's that possible with all this global warming?

No more evident than witnessing it first hand in the states.

Too many of us using up a limited supply of resources.
The difference between a first world society and a developing or third world is the percentage that you pay for the utilities and necessities of life. Unless people are willing to go to a nuclear option for electricity the real cost of the closing of coal plants for the ineffective solar and wind options are going to be the test for genuine change.
It's all well and good saying you believe in it but when it means taking a massive chunk out of your earnings I don't think people will have the same enthusiasm for it.

It's a load of codswallop. Obviously the climate changes, but anyone who thinks we're all going to fry due solely to human emissions is an absolute moron.

Dutton would agree that climate change is BS. If he takes that view to the next election expect the Greens and Teals to take more seats off the Libs. The younger generation want a change for renewable clean energy.....the oldies just have to suck it up

                            All very nice, but:

Australia has met all its agreed to carbon dioxide reduction targets from Kyoto etc.
The younger generation has been brainwashed into thinking the nation can be powered by wind and solar...now.
                            It simply cannot.
The South Australian Premier yesterday declared a "Climate Emergency"
The South Australian parliament agreed. Libs maybe too *scared* to do anything else.
It's freezing this morning, everyone will be awaking and switching on their heaters.
BANG! Massive hit to the electricity and gas grids.
Shovel the coal and pump the gas into the power stations at express pace!...or else the People will be chopping up their furniture for firewood to keep warm like the folk in Texas USA had to do in the recent snow storm/blizzard.
Petrol pumps in servos run on electricity.
No electricity, no fuel for cars, society grinds to a halt. Supermarkets shut. Computers shut down.
                            No electricity for home cooking.
Texas went down the renewables now path.
Texans immediately rushed out and bought wood-fired stoves and wood fired heaters for their homes...so they wouldn't get caught again.
Stock up on firewood, stock up on canned soup, instal a wood burning stove and wood burning heater...look how cosy and not hungry the prepared family is.
                            "Renewables now" is totally flawed.
Peter Dutton's "sensible transition" is the correct policy.

Could be the biggest scam we've ever faced as a human collective. It's going to take a hard brake and reverse gear to undo the crazy momentum it's gathered....may never happen. Scare us.
