Maureen Elkner did about about a 6 week stint on a Sunday night at the Newtown Hotel many years ago and she did quite a few show songs so one night we asked her to do Rack Of Normie, she said basically she hadn’t done that song for years but the following week she sung it and of course the young people in the pub didn’t know it but we were clapping and hooting and hollering when she sung it.Last edited by horrie hastings; 07-05-2022, 09:38 PM.

I love this so much and I just watched the first episode of Blue Heelers last night on 7PLUS as I'm working my way through all the old Australian drama series they have to stream for free. The instrumental version of this is the theme song and I never knew this as it was a show I never got around to watching. This is the Cruel Sea with The Honeymoon is Over:

This one came up today. I've had it in my collection for nearly 40 years and I still don't know what James is singing about...

I'd forgotten about that song about Ita!
Spooky how I just watched her the other night being interviewed by the lovely David Wenham for the series The ABC of (which is, funnily enough, on the ABC). I have a gazillion Chisel/Barnsey/Ian Moss albums & DVD's but that isn't on any of them. It actually has a great melody too. Thanks for the memories.
This came up next on Youtube so will post it. This is My Baby
