We have Betty's as well and they all do gluten free buns and are all delicious.
I almost went to Grill'd today at the junction because had to do some things at the bank with my fathers estate but ended up getting a panini with pastrami, swiss cheese, pickles and mustard at the deli in Eastgate and it was delicious.

Tried Betty's at the beach after an exhibition at the pavillion a couple of years ago and was very underwhelmed, i ordered a Betty's classic but i got beetroot and pineapple as an extra, that was the only highlight, the beetroot and pineapple added the only flavour as the rest was pretty meh, the meat patty was very bland, also ordered onion rings and didn't finish them as they were terrible.
I do like Grill'd though and find them consistent which ever store i go to which are Bondi Junction, Darlinghurst and Broadway but Bettys at the beach didn't inspire me to go back again and try them anywhere else.

I love fish burgers! Big slab of beer battered Snapper with pickles, cos lettuce and aioli.
I do like my own burgers at home too, i just use whatever cheese we have in the fridge, it is usually Bega for everyday use but always have my own homemade pickled beetroot on the burger, always have a container of the beetroot in the fridge. Yes and if i have onions on my burger at home they are caramelised, never raw, don't always put onion on mine though, it just depends on how quick i want to knock the burgers up.

I only get the vegan options from Betty's so maybe that's the difference. I don't eat onion rings and that's a real shame you couldn't finish them. Nothing worse. My craving passed and I didn't succumb to any junk as I feel better without it. If I do have something like that, it will be at home in winter as I like getting just small sandwich steak and cooking it with a small brown onion and some mushrooms and having it on gluten free turkish bread (the Coles one is actually quite good toasted) with beetroot, cheese, rocket and spinach. A Roosters victory is the best side dish.

Your sandwich sounds amazing and I'm glad you liked it. Some of my friends from the old neighbourhood are quite fond of that deli and used to go there a lot.

Ooh yes. I make my own too in winter. I get the gluten free crumbed Hoki and have it on toasted turkish with salad. Again, a Roosters victory as a side dish..

LOL...I left my Nokia phone at work in my locker, switched off, and I don't even mind . I've let my family know of course as I won't be heading back to the office until next Wednesday as we decided not to go in the day after a public holiday and just WFH on Tuesday.

See, I have my special Telstra landline if need be to call my elderly relatives.

Did 10.5 km on the bike today, didn't feel like pushing it any further, have to admit my hip feels a bit freer after it.

I love a good onion ring but there is a big difference between and good one and a bad one ( a bit like salt and pepper squid or crumbed or battered calamari ). The Kirribilli Hotel many years ago did excellent ones with James Squire beer batter, they were yummo.
Cheated a bit after the bike work today, had a turkey bagel with cranberry and swiss cheese but ordered a side of chips with it

Oh but it is my dear man . My mental health and visual health will enjoy a rest from pesky devices. I would much rather focus on exercising, cooking and my art projects over the next few days.

Well done on the training this morning. I know you are dedicated and I do find it inspiring.

I was able to make the 5.45am bus this morning and even ran a little bit beforehand. Haven't done that in such a long time. I also walked from Kent St to Elizabeth St this afternoon with my laptop without any aches and pains. Big improvement from where I was a couple of years back post surgery.

I regularly get grilled calamari from Fishmonger to have with my own salad or veges/quinoa. You deserve the chips as I know you did 12km the other day..don't be hard on yourself. I bought roast veges and mash today from Barangaroo instead of chips and took my own fruit salad and other snacks. Skirts are all fitting nicely and I will weigh myself at 5am tomorrow..

Lost another kg so that's 3 in 3 weeks which is sensible for a Duchess of my age.

Stay safe and well everyone and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
