No word of a lie, i am brewing a nice pot of Russian Caravan tea, it’s a a lovely tea from Twinings and prefer it over the English Breakfast variety any day.

I sort of miss my iced tea i used to buy from Coco Fresh when i was working, i used to get a passionfruit black tea with no added sugar, so refreshing on a hot day and also the outlet used to give staff members of the centre 50 % off.Originally posted by rented tracksuit View PostI don’t drink tea, unless it’s iced and flavoured with either lemon, peach or mango.

Can I add my condolences Craig?Originally posted by horrie hastings View Post
Thanks Andrew Walker, my father passed away at 8 am this morning, must have known it was about to happen as i stayed up till about 3.30 am as i couldn't sleep . Waiting to hear what the next step is, not sure how i am feeling at the moment. At least my brother was polite when we had to ring him.
I hope it was peaceful and you're feeling not too bad.

It really wasn't a surprise but still a shock, the stubborn bugger held on as long as he could.
Did get some more bad news on Saturday that one of my brother in laws passed away, he has not been well for a while and had had two strokes this year but it wasn't expected for him to die from them.
Hope everything is going well at your end.

Condolences to Horrie, on your Dad's passing, my thoughts are with you and your family.
I lost my Step-Dad (who I was close to) then my Dad over a period of 6 months a few years back, really shook me to my foundations even though I thought it would not. Not having them to share things with a chat, a beer etc takes some getting used to.
And Red, I am so sorry for your friend passing away to that terrible illness, 56 years old, way, way too young, take care mate.Originally posted by Bondi Boy
Pathetic!
What a rabble we are.
Oh well, maybe next year

Thanks mate. When we were teenagers we used to go and watch Easts V Bears at North Sydney Oval. He loved his Bears. Mind you he ended up as President of the Bondi Icebergs and begrudgingly folowed the Chooks later in life.Originally posted by 4 the all in brawl View PostAnd Red, I am so sorry for your friend passing away to that terrible illness, 56 years old, way, way too young, take care mate.

It’s hard isn’t it brawl. I lost both mum and dad within the space of 11 months just before and after the start of Covid. It’s hard not having them there full stop, but just not being able to have a chat when you need to. Sorry to hear about your losses too.Originally posted by 4 the all in brawl View PostCondolences to Horrie, on your Dad's passing, my thoughts are with you and your family.

Thanks mate, it's hard isn't it ? nothing really prepares you for it even when you think you are prepared for it, with both my parents now gone i am really finding that i'm missing my mother even though it is almost 3 years now since she passed , i think i shut it out a bit and my fathers passing has bought it to a head now.Originally posted by 4 the all in brawl View PostCondolences to Horrie, on your Dad's passing, my thoughts are with you and your family.

The brother in law was areal shock , he was about the same age as me.

I miss the trip to North Sydney Oval, they were good days. I actually went to North Sydney Oval earlier this year, the first time in many many years to watch one of the Shute Shield finals match between the Easts Beasts and Eastwood, still a great old ground full of memories.Originally posted by Red. Got to love Coles payroll, a couple of weeks ago i got an email saying you have been over paid by 6 hours so can you please sign this form so we can retrieve the over payment, absolutely puzzling so i replied to the email saying what and when this over payment happened and could i have a copy of it when it occurred, heard nothing, got the same email again not long after saying can you sign the document to take the money out so i sent another email saying i was not signing anything till i can see the proof of the over payment,
Monday i get an email, we had made a mistake and it actually said that i was owed the 6 hrs pay, i checked my bank account and the payment had gone in. So in theory if i had signed a release to take the money i bet i would have not heard back about the error that should have been in my favour instead, Finally got documentation of the so called over payment and it happened in 2020.
So happy apart from one thing that still has to be cleared up i am out of that company.Last edited by horrie hastings; 10-23-2025, 08:57 PM.
