    • Because I love to clean as a way to unwind, my favourite tip for cleaning tea stained cups and mugs is my own special budget friendly mix of a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide, a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, a few squirts of dishwashing liquid and the leftover boiling water from the kettle. I leave them in the sink overnight as they will froth up if you overfill the water and it's far more effective than using a dishwasher (which I don't have anyway as I prefer good old fashioned elbow grease). I've just done mine now and they will be sparkling clean very soon. It even works on delicate china as well.

My favourite tea, with the bags i let it brew in the hot water in the mug for about 5 mins, it gets its optimum smokiness then i find.

I used to do the lemon juice in hot water in the microwave and it worked but find it ineffective now,

I bought an Angry Mama because I cook so much seafood. I reheated barramundi on Monday and it was just awful (the smell, not my cooking ). I really hate vinegar but I use it to keep the bathroom drains running smoothly too as they get black sludge sometimes.

            • I think a nice iced tea would be more appropriate for today.

They get less and less every year. So far have received cards from the people i have already sent to but there will always one that will turn up unexpected and they usually come in right on Christmas Eve.

                        • Just ducked down to my local Coles to get some pork steaks to make pork schnitzels for dinner, i always look for any mark downs and one really made me laugh, they had their own brand diced beef reduced to $ 5.22 for the 500grm pack with the best before date of tomorrow 22/12. but there was one pack of exactly the same beef with the best before date of today 21/12 and it was reduced to $10.44 Nothing really changes for the company i used to work for.

I hope the ones I send off tomorrow make it by Christmas Eve. I’ve left it way too late this year.

Well if any come in now i wont be doing any till after Christmas because i don't want to go near any crowded centres and also if posted from today i doubt whether anything would get there before the New Year now.

                                Anyway, I'm all set.
Did the tree and bought the prezzies, just waiting for the grandkids.
Never will be in my house. I popped a card in the mail for you last week along with some Roosters stickers for your grandchildren. (This is Bernie by the way using my neighbour's login as she has moved home to Ireland ). It's very quiet in our building when normally it would be filled with laughter from visitors from all over the place including the grandchildren of the lovely family across the hallway.

I really love sending Christmas cards, birthday cards and beautiful cards in general for no reason but to show someone else I am thinking of them and that I care. It's a dying art but one I will always keep going. It's a real privilege to be able to sit down and handwrite something for someone. I'm taking up diamond art as well.

Must be time for my Earl Grey. I always crave one straight after lunch.
