More than enough of this bullshiit.
Had the best roster in the comp pretty much for his whole 11 year tenure and he's under achieved.
The latest experiments like last year's halves nearly cost us a spot in the 8, and having to win 8 in a row to get there we were gassed anyway.
This year's fuuck ups with Suaalii, Manu and Keary and Walker will cost us more,
and the love affair with the Handbrake who wouldn't get a start in any other teams top 17 tops it off.
The players have not got a clue what they are supposed to do, he pats them on the back when they need a kick up the arse and vice versa.
I think Robbo has lost the Plot...... Roosters Footy, give me a farking break.

if he does decide to go or is it forced out of the position, make him a director of football where his role is recruitment for players and coaches and over seeing the clubs direction from head to toe instead of the nitty gritty of coaching the team.

Politics likes to use English & European football clubs as an example of how the club should run, so why not embrace it fully, it seems like thats what hes doing most of the time any way.

got to agree. robbo and the club are out of step with the attitudes of some club supporters when it comes to latrell but they've won a couple of comps with him so it's understandable they're going to still like him. maybe robbo could have said something about fans paying their money and they can boo if they want to but hard to argue that he was being 'woke'. i don't recall any reference to latrell's aboriginality in his comments

Of the others, Teddy still has a lot to offer as do Radley, Crighton, Manu etc.

I can't name a bookmaker who has ever coached a side though - about as relevant as people picking the winner of games in a footy tipping contest or tipping who will the comp.

Not sure folk on here would agree that the Roosters have the best team in terms of talent and depth as for an example the following players are not rated by many on here and wouldn't be in the NRL side or even at the Club if they were involved in the decision making on player signing/retentions and team lists - fortunate they are not

Butcher Brothers - both offer nothing - reserve graders
Sitili - misses too many tackles
Momirovski -reserve grader
Suaalii - send to union
Hutchinator - send to siberia
Keary- should retire
Radley- too ill disciplined and not playing well- stint in reserve grade
Baker- no get up and go -reserve grader
Collins - Only plays well for QLD
Crichton - lost his mojo

Dolphins are not a bunch of misfits if you actually looked at their squad and Warriors are always a club that should be doing better than they are - Now back in New Zealand they should be a more settled side

You need to make up your mind about our side… initially you said our struggles were because we were low on troops… now you say we’ve had an average squad/spine all along?

But on the other hand… you say we have a great coach

Well a great coach elevates and galvanises a side… that’s what makes a great coach… so by your reckoning we must have one of the worst squads in the NRL to be currently where we are… you saying we’re over achieving?

I agree that King Savlon just regurgitates meaningless shit; if he was a true Roosters supporter, he would be fuming about the current situation we find ourselves in with such a capable bunch of players. Only soft coqs say “we can’t expect to win them all”. We should absolutely expect to win them all and when we don’t, we need to learn from it and improve. We have a team chock full of internationals, some believed to be the best in the world in their respective positions and now King Soggy Sao tells us our spine isn’t up there with the best FFS. He’s just making excuses for the dumb shit our coach has been doing to this team.

Look at our current spine -

- Australian & NSW captain and fullback, considered by most as the world’s best fullback and by some as the world’s best player,
- NZ hooker/2021 Dally M hooker of the year,
- NZ fullback/2022 golden boot winner as best international player/2022 Dally M centre/regarded by most as the world’s best centre,
- 3 time premiership winner, Irish international and former Origin 5/8.

I reckon there would be plenty of coaches that would kill to have this spine to work with, but when we bring Walker back in, it will be stronger again, in my opinion.

As someone said earlier today, players don’t collectively forget how to play. The coach needs to ensure he selects the best available players in each position, ensures that they are motivated, they have a sound game plan, they have discipline and that it all gels together. Nothing wrong with the quality of our cattle; it’s the coaching has been less than adequate.
