I see no reason why Kez wont play through to 33 or 34. Looks confident and physical again. Still our best player.

I will never consider Manu a 6. Every decent team has a second kicking option. With Manu at 6 we don't. Hence the need for Hutch in the 17 in case Luke goes down.

Would that be the oldest halves pairing to ever win a GF together?

All it's gonna take is 1 more head knock for Keary to consider calling it quits.... If Walker goes, then what ?

We have Super Hutch and the world’s best centre in the halves. Just like Camilla on the night of the coronation, are royally farked!

People say Manu to full back when Tedesco retires - it could well be Dominic Young as the Custodian/Fullback - the old Big Jack Gibson quote about ET springs to mind " That guy is so quick, he can switch off the light and get into bed before the room is dark.“
I suspect both Sandon and Tia will leave for greener grass, unless Walker does leave (please don't). Unfortunately we can't keep every good young player coming through our ranks, and Sandon Smith has been off to a good start in a poor team in Reggies. I wouldn't be surprised to see a team needing a back up half or even a team with no halves aka the tigers throw a decent contract at him. We wouldn't be able to match considering he is ranked at least our 5th half (Keary, Manu, Walks, Hutcho).

As for Young, while the rumour is we signed him to play centre, I don't see him as anything but a winger. You want to utilise his speed as best as possible, and considering his defence is equivalent to that of a shirt grabber and his ball skills aren't particularly good, I should hope he comes no where near the fullback spot. Provided Suaalii does not return in 2027/28, I think it highly likely we develop either Rob Toia who looks like a complete package provided he fixes his tackle efficiency and fully recovers from his ACL tear or Tavita Henare Schuster to play fullback.

Get used to it. Manu will learn how to kick, and considering he is a million dollar fullback, if he's not playing either 1 or 6 at his next contract (his last big one) he will leave.

You probably said the same before he signed his last contract. Thanks for the insight on what Joey will do. You are very well inforned.

“Learn how to kick”. That’s classic! Why don’t they just teach them all how to kick.

keary has a contract for this and next season so he won't be going anywhere before then. with suaalii going then it will be easier to retain teddy, manu walker and keary. when keary signed his last contract he said it might be his last so time will tell

So pray tell, why do you think Manu is currently in 6. Considering Walker appears to be super mature it's not a personality issue with him, and he was by no means poor on the field. It's because Manu is going to be the long term 6 and you're not dropping to Keary to reggies. As for why don't they teach them all to kick, because not everyone plays in the halves... and Manu by his own admission said he used to play 10 at school meaning he probably does have a decent kick on him, it just needs to be honed which will happen in due time. Until then Keary will be our kicker

Were you just as skeptical about Cronk? Hunt is just as good. Don't be influenced by his his form at the Dragons. They are rabble! He will tear NSW apart in the upcoming SOO series. Hunt is the perfect short term solution for us.
