I have a feeling Gus won't be back this week. And when he does return it will be off the bench

We really can’t afford to drop any games we should win..
with so many teams on the up and the comp as close as ever.

      Honestly I’m losing faith.

The recruitment team have given the coaching staff everything they need to win a comp and I’m sick of making excuses for them.

We need to click yesterday or we won’t be top 4 and May struggle for the 8 IMO.

We need to win AT LEAST 4 of our next 5 to make anything of this season before rolling into our next bye.

This won’t be an easy feat with Dragons (ANZAC day game - have the wood over us), Warriors (playing great footy), Cowboys (Magic Rd @ Suncorp - they’ll get up for it), Panthers (@ Penrith), Dragons (again, away).

Maybe the ANZAC day is too big an occasion with too much pressure to bring Angus back.

Didn't mean it to sound like our season is over there - but I can see why you might jump to that conclusion. I don't think the season is over by a long shot at all. However something has to change soon obviously and I was wondering would the coach roll the dice on a couple of blokes returning from injury or give them more time? Ffs

Why would you risk bringing in Gus and Sitili who have no game fitness next week to save our season? Like our season is list in April. They will come back within the next month and yes our attacking structures will change.
Only Parra and Dragons worry about winning the comp in April.
Take the odds to win the comp now whilst most of our own supporters think the season is gone after 7 rounds.
            Maybe not.

Speaking of SOS’s Junior Pauga is killing it in NSW cup at the moment and was also excellent during trials. Paulo remains our winger but good to see he is being kept on his toes.

Pauga’s stats last weekend were very impressive.

If we are legit this year & being virtually full strength now then wins against struggling Dragons & Cowboys are a must.

Warriors over there are never easy especially only 5 days after the ANZAC game.

If we can't win 2 or all 3 of them then we are a joke & forget about top 4 or possibly top 8.

Robbo should then go all out & start preparing for a massive assault on winning Rd 1 next year.

If we lose to the Dragons again on ANZAC Day given how much Robbo loves to wax lyrical over the importance of it, I'll be ropable and will gladly be called an irrational idiot by some of our softer Pen members.

Dragons are a pissweak footy team with 1 excellent player in their team who is the only player that tries. They will be absolutely nowhere near the 8 this year. If they beat us, it's because we try the sh-tty corner kick to Toops and Suualii for 65 mins and spend the other 15mins dropping the footy or giving up soft tries. Of course, this style of footy will be dismissed as "building into the season" and we will find our groove by Round 18.

don’t forget we lost this fixture last season and then to the struggling dogs the week after, & that was after starting the season very poorly as well lol

Still not 100% sold on Paolo. I can't get that try he let in against Parramatta out of my mind. There have been a couple more ordinary defensive efforts.

When do we think Brown may get a run . Have a feeling he may find his feet at the Roosters . Close to his last chance if he doesn't

Our problem isn't the troops, there is no need to be SOS'ing Sitili before he is ready (nor Gus), or fastracking green rookies in the lower grades.

We are losing games strictly because of the ref's whistle. We've got blokes dropping likes flies to the sin bin, and we can't build anything during the game as we relentlessly get penalised. We are constantly playing with one arm tied behind our back.

The opposition is not beating us per se, we are beating ourselves (with the kind assistance of the NRL officialdom)

We wont change the refs, so this is something the coaching staff need to sort out.

I am a massive admirer of Robbo's old school approach to this sort of stuff, but its now at the point where we have no choice but to pander to them or we won't win.

Yeah on the weekend I felt that Teddy's 1/2 time argument with the ref simply put him off-side even further. The ref didn't wanna hear from us and to be fair... he's in a position where he doesn't have to.

I dunno how to better groom the refs but we definitely need to do better in that regard.

Gussie and Sitili? Assuming they're even named for 1st grade, IMO both deserve a comfortable return. If that involves going at it full pelt then power to them. However, we need a full team performance this week if we wanna beat the Steelers.
