Kotoni Staggs is off contract end of 2025.
He can run the length of the field at pace.
He's a far better centre than Suaalii.
Suaalii did not impress me st FB in the World Cup.
Manu is a far better FB.
No way Suaalii will ever be able to do what Teddy does.
Wish Suaalii well in Union, hope he makes a fortune and has a long and happy life.

We don't know what he could end up being. Right now Staggs is better but Staggs is also 24 years old and has played 78 games as opposed to Suaalii who has only played 27 games and is 19. The rest is opinion based, in a year and a half we could be saying bye to Suaalii and he could be the greatest fullback prospect of all time that we're sad to see go.

The Wallabies, Roosters etc all want him based on potential, right now in 2023 he's simply a good player but in 2027 when he turns 24 he could be one of the greatest of all time. On the flip side he could be a total flop as well and never reach his potential which we've seen many times with players.

Personally I'm going to be optimistic and say that Suaalii will go on to be great which is exciting because he seems pretty loyal to the Roosters (Within Rugby League at least)

I can’t see Murray going to Rugby. He’s too small for the forwards. He’d have to play center, and I doubt that would appeal to him.

Goes to show how desperate Rugby Yawnion is to pay massive overs just to snag someone so young & raw.

Hope he enjoys those mauls when there's 8 guys crushing him.

Good luck to him, Gotta take the offer.

Yes. It’s just disappointing that he will develop under Robbo’s guidance and we will only benefit short term.

Like many others, I don’t like it. Just doesn’t sit right. Would rather develop players who stay in first grade for a reasonable time. Many fans will look at him differently for next 2 years.

Sorry but Latrell is one of the greatest players of this or any generation.

You're delusional if you think otherwise.

I suppose if we put in the work now we hopefully get him back as we start to lose some of our good experienced players over the next few years like Teddy, Kez, Toups. Manu would also be 32 then. Plus he is a big asset the next couple of years before these guys finish up.

Yet not amongst the top 5 fullbacks in the game.

6 million living a modest lifestyle could last someone a life time, that'd be 133k a year from 20 to 65.

Of course he'll make more though, 4.8 million from Rugby plus 450k from international match bonuses (Assuming he plays all) and then even if he's an absolute flop in Union he'll easily get a return to NRL and get paid a million a year by someone (Hopefully us).

With the sort of money he will be earning in RU the decision for him was a no brainer.

Would have been great if we returned serve and signed a star Wallabie.....but looking at this rabble of shit i doubt there's anything that could make it in league

                      Answer: no good.
Would've been nice if he'd told us he was leaving...before he signed on for $1.4m of our money for 2 years.
I'd be very unhappy if I were the Club.
So unhappy I'd probably banish him from sight to NSW Cup and find someone else to play left centre.
Why are you angry? You're telling me that you wouldn't take 5 million for 3 years as compared to less than half of that at the roosters, combined with World Cup, possible Olympics, British and Irish Lions and being the face of Rugby Union for three years, and then having the choice of returning to the Roosters at fullback once Teddy retires?

He is though. 1. Teddy 2. Papi/ Turbo 3. Papi/ Turbo 4. Latrell 5. Dylan Edwards. Please don't say Gutho over Latrell

JS is a great athlete but Imo he is not a naturally instinctive player and he lacks pace , which was clear to see in the Warriors game when he broke free then run away from his support.
It's a real shame he is leaving but i don't think he was going to be the next big thing at fullback.
He looked headed for the backrow imo.
