I've found the tackle. It was the 3rd tackle of the set in the 42nd minute ... a couple of plays after the Campbell Graham break down the right. He was tackled next to the left upright by Rads, Egan & Nat .... perfectly legally. There is no way in hell that ANYONE in their right mind could call that a hip-drop. Farking ludicrous!!

I know it’s souffs…
I know they’re grubs…
there was probably more to the on field battle between the 2 I’m not seeing…
but I expect more from Joey.
he’a a clean skin, quiet and humble weapon of a player.
I want him to remain our smiling, baby faced assassin.
not carry on like he belongs in the Red& Green
We all noticed this and, Fuggen good on him we’ve had players taken out, injured, targeted by dickheads like Blake Solly in the papers, **** the filth that’s a little bit of retribution, Tass has a jead only a mother would love, the grub that Joey showed was awesome need more of it, he had this anger in his eyes all night long he hates Souffs that can only be good, let’s not forget Joey had his face re-arranged by that **** wit Mitchell on purpose.
I wish he caught Cody with a clean legal hit and then walked over him. If only young Joe S defended on Cody’s side and just ironed him out.

All bets are off when it comes to Souths or any bullies or trolls for that matter.. As Gman pointed out, karma is not a nice lady and she comes in all shapes and forms.
There is always a price to pay for that sort of behaviour and it will come back to bite."Be good enough to forgive people but don't be stupid enough to trust them again."

Well said, look I guess I’ve felt very much what Manu has felt playing that lot, he hasn’t got a bad bone in his body (but that can be used against you also) he just thought to himself ‘not today’ and I liked that he has that side, however some fine tuning on how to remove the emotion will benefit him in the long run so as to not get suspended he’s very important to us.
Good news is we secured a victory got through injury free and left their forward pack in the emergency ward.
Always a pleasure RWB I hope you’re well, and life is treating you well.Last edited by Teddy; 03-22-2023, 07:12 AM.

I thought the amount of clear improvement that we could make was the most impressive thing to be honest.
we conceded way too many linebreaks, often straight up the guts.
we dropped WAAAAY too much ball, with one run of like 5 sets in a row where we didn’t make it to our kick.
we wasted quite a few try scoring opportunities with some very average sets on Souths line.
but we won.
If we cut back on the errors, if we can shore up the defence, we’ll be a force this season.
the only thing that can (and probably will) stop us is our lack of depth to cover injuries

No way it's a hip drop tackle...which is why the MRC did not cite Radley.
Mitchell's legs just got caught in an awkward position as he went down.
Souths don't like what happened?
Media doesn't like what happened?
They should lobby for a maximum of 2 players in a tackle.
NRL doesn't like what happened?
Simple solution...make a new rule, "a maximum of two players only in a tackle".
Someone should remind Souths and the NRL though that any new rule would apply equally to all clubs, including Souths.

I also wouldn't mind if the ref called HELD as soon as a player turned their back in a tackle.
A lot of the problems in the current game come down to the officials'
I don't think players doing the WRESTLE WALTZ is entertaining.
I'm not generally a fan of changing rules, but the way the size , strength and fitness of players, and the number of injuries, has increased it may be time to look at a possible soution.

I think the move is called the "Allen Iverson step over"
And I'm pretty sure Joey Manu has done it before, I don't think it was a co-incidence that it happened - the opportunity was there.
Joey Manu has got the move "down pat"
Its just Joey showing everybody who is the boss.

I always breathe a sigh of relief once our games against them are over..
Yes if you are too nice, you get walked all over, so sometimes it's quite ok to be assertive and stand up and say no more.."Be good enough to forgive people but don't be stupid enough to trust them again."
