No connections Farian but I just wanted to wish your family and niece all the best. No child should have to go through that.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys! This place always aim up for one of their own even people they havent met in person. I really appreciate all the kind words.

My niece is up and down at the moment but she is a trooper who doesn't complain. Just gets on with it. We are positive she will pull through.

A few of the lads here have touched base. Thirteen as usual is pulling some strings to see what we can do for her.

I have a favour to ask as some of you may be well connected.

My little niece was diagnosed with Leukaemia around Christmas and has spent the last few weeks at the Sydney Childrens Hospital getting treatment. The family are staying at Ronald McDonald House travelling up and back from the Gong when they can which has been quite tough on them all.

They are all big Roosters supporters including my niece. I was hoping to get in touch with someone at the club to organise a visit especially given its only around the corner in Randwick.

If anyone has connections or can point me in the right direction please DM.

          Farian.
keep us posted mate on how she goes and also if you have any luck with the club .. would be a great story

We have a heritage teddy bear for your niece so far.

I was going to mention that back in the 1960's there was no Ronald McDonald House and certainly not in Brisbane, so my parents had stayed with my uncle and his wife. Today we heard she passed away just yesterday. Another of my aunties passed away less than 3 weeks ago. They were the last connections we had to that time in our family's history. We are sending you our best wishes Farian and keep in touch.

Thanks Farian and I used Olivia's memorial service today to have a good cry. I'll really have to slap on the makeup tomorrow as to not scare anyone at work! Still wear a mask on the bus..that should help.

I'm seeing my work mate tomorrow in the office and he was having dinner last Friday night with his connection at the club and was going to ask then for you. I'll let you know when I get home tomorrow night if he could assist. Either way, you are getting that vintage heritage bear! The reason why I care so much is because when my sister was in the Brisbane Mater Hospital with leukemia in 1964 before I was born, someone went out of their way to bring her Beatles memorabilia as they were touring Australia and she loved them even though she was only 5 at the time. Mum said she had a headband saying 'She Loves You Yeah, Yeah, Yeah' with her when she passed away. I carry a photo of her in my purse. I'm so glad I came back on here when I did. It's time to pay forward the kindness someone gave to my family.
