28 as Lodge isn't listed in the Squad so 2 spots left.

Xavier Va'a has a knee injury and is in a leg brace - not sure how serious it is though

That’s the problem though. This is a whole new, very grey area for the nrl. I don’t think we’ll get the cap relief, nor am I (right now) convinced that we should, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the NRL go through with it.

The NRL is an unpredictable beast. I wonder how they will traverse this issue.

I hope he hasn't done anything stupid... like being seen with Sam Burgess.

              He is not well.
story goes the cops pulled him over and he was a mental rabble. Not DUI and no drugs in his system. He told them he was Jerry Sienfield

I don’t know a lot about mind altering drugs but I do know a bloke from back home who had a similar experience.

He may well be finished with us. This has nothing to do with Gus having bipolar disorder.

IF this is self induced and he is in a trip due to his decision to take recreational drugs then he can piss off. He’s managed all these years to play with his supposed bipolar so what’s changed? IF due to drugs than tear up his contract. No sympathy from me. He’s taking up a fair chunk of our cap.

I get what you are saying, but imagine the media back lash.... headlines along the lines of "Roosters refuse to support star with mental health issues"
I think we just need to bite the bullet with this one. Support him and hope he is back firing sometime during the season. If he is out longer I'd dare say his career is probably finished

Trying to be postive, imagine getting Gus, Sitili and Watson back mid to late season !! What a boost that would be

Need to come out firing and win all the games we're supposed to against the 'easy beats'. Stay in contact with top 4 then welcome back 3 guns

Absolutely support the guy with mental health issues. But from what we are all are hearing, he’s taken a trip and hasn’t come out of it. That’s self inflicted IF in actual fact it’s true. He may well have bipolar but that’s not new. He’s managed to function with bipolar. IF he had a trip than he’s responsible for this mess. Not having him will cost us.

Souffs have been allowed to medically retire players only for them to reappear in the Super League. I believe cap relief for mental health issues should be looked at.

Not saying this is what happened as I’m don’t know.. but in psychedelics… these have been really pushed of late especially on Rogans podcast!
Medically they are shown to have a positive affect on people with many disorders, but they are microdosed and managed etc

I know 3 guys from back in the days, 1985 or so, who never fully came back from a trip. Two from acid and one from mushrooms!

I did it a couple of times as did a few mates and we all were ok.. luckily! But this stuff is dangerous and you never know how your mind will react!

                          Anyway.. Hope it’s not true!

I thought I was many things when I took acid. Didn't think of Jerry Seinfeld at the time, that's a good one.

Often the extremities of bipolar can emerge in the mid 20s and often involve psychotic episodes that can last for long periods without treatment.

My take on this is that Angus may have been dealing with bipolar for a while but it has escalated recently and requires new treatments.

Having seen his social media lately I don't think his brain has been fried, he's probably having occasional medical episodes.

It will be a long road to recovery for Angus and whether he plays or not is the least of my concerns. He requires good help and great support from friends, family and the club.

He's a great kid and deserves to live a full life in good health.

Anyone who believes he brought this upon himself needs to reconsider their opinion

Too much speculation going on here with potential slandering of Angus’ character and behaviour without knowing any of the actual facts.
