Just looked at his Insta and there is some odd things in some of his posts.. could be nothing and just his quirky personality as I obviously don’t know him on a personal level. But some of it seems off..

My brother has struggled with addiction (still
is) and had some terrible episodes. As a family it’s heart breaking so I really hope he gets all the help he can whether it’s self inflicted or not.

My take on this is that Angus may have been dealing with bipolar for a while but it has escalated recently and requires new treatments.

Having seen his social media lately I don't think his brain has been fried, he's probably having occasional medical episodes.

It will be a long road to recovery for Angus and whether he plays or not is the least of my concerns. He requires good help and great support from friends, family and the club.

He's a great kid and deserves to live a full life in good health.

Anyone who believes he brought this upon himself needs to reconsider their opinion
100% agree the dribble some so called keyboard experts is disappointing at best and disgusting at worst. Social media bullshite and spreading of rumors is wrong. None of us do or will ever know the truth so for christ sake just support and hope that one of our own can get on top of his health issues and get back to life as a professional footy player or whatever else he sees fit to do on the other side of this horrible experience. just remember most of us have people in our lives that suffer or suffer ourselves and none of us ever expect it or wanted it . Its not a crime to be imperfect .

Exactly 08. There's too much judgemental crap going on here from people who think they are experts in mental health and bipolar.

          Spot on.

Disgraceful comments by some on here who only see this in terms of salary cap space. Hang your head in shame.

All the rumors are deeply troubling. I just hope Angus gets well. Footy is nothing compared to his well being.

Definitely troubling. Robbo was asked about Angus at the presser and only offered "no update". Things must be crook.

I know buggerall about drugs, but know people who know people who have experimented even only once with the wrong thing. And it affected them for the rest of their lives, never the same.

              Scary.

              All the best Gus.

It's human nature to comment and speculate

This is also a footy forum so members will also talk about how this effects our season and the cap etc

I highly doubt anyone is being sinister or mean any real harm talking about such things

We love Gus. Seems like a good bloke and I hope he gets the appropriate help with whatever he is going through but I'm also interested in how this effects our season moving forward....anyway, time to collect on Tommy Turbo first try scorer ching ching

Initially I was taken aback by his abrupt response to the question but on reflection I believe he was maintaining the position that Angus's condition is a private matter

Speculation like propaganda are dangerous tools as folk end up believing it especially when it is repeated ad nauseam.

Some Joe Friday is needed - all we want are the facts.

Unless the facts are known then don't speculate or post speculation it's as simple as that as it just compounds it

He deserves his privacy whilst he recovers and certainly doesn't need his name dragged through the mud as a result of things that are posted on social media sites which are based on rumours and speculation and not on any facts.

While I understand your comment, I do definitely not agree. People should just step back and think if it was them or their kid how they would feel if hopeful none of the rumors are true and the poor bugger in inflicted with the dreaded bipolar.

a lot of people 'self medicate' when they've got troubles which is understandable but there's a current expert driven movement to treat depression with lsd or magic mushrooms so, no pun intended, maybe there's method to gus' madness

Being a Bogan from The South you just don’t seem to comprehend things too well.

I have emphasised IF twice in my post.

So you think IF (once again I am emphasising IF for you as a dummy) this episode was brought about because Angus made the decision to take an illegal substance and this has affected him in such a way that he can not play and fulfil his commitments that we as supporters should not be concerned that a large chunk of our cap can’t play due to his actions? The operative word being IF.

(Maybe ask someone with a little more intelligence to explain my post to you in simpleton terms).

Have you actually any evidence of the so called expert driven movement because I would like to read it .In my experience though people in my life drugs and especially mind altering do nothing but harm to people with mental illness
