If he goes to Europe the money is better but he is out of sight and wouldn't be able to cash in on boxing anyway.

I hope we miss him anyway someone like Tony Williams is on the market we could go after him. The Dogs are after him aren't they? Any chance with him or Foran?
The papers have confirmed not in either case.

Should be interesting as the dogs have made a major signing but nothing is being leaked.

Also, Braith let the cat out of the bag the other night on 2ue when he said he saw the writing was one the wall when the Roosters made some big signings.

If sonny comes it will be on a decent deal without boxing and possible changes around the team.

I think people forget how good Williams is.

        He's fcuking unbelievable.

All things being equal, preferring Tony Williams over SBW is pretty absurd.

Having said that, the boxing caveats are a bit much.

          This man speaks the truth.

He is a freak. Had he stayed in league he would have been up there with Slater and Inglis as the best players this era has seen.

Hopefully he can still get there, even after his hiatus.

What this shows numb nuts, is that the agents in the club that used to leak news are obviously no longer at work doing this. Its rare Easts have kept this unconfirmed for so long. Its so rare that to think the deal may noit be done after all is valid.

Having said that, Easts may be finally learning someting. They may have ejected teh leaking agents that have damaged them in teh past, and are signing him, or they arent siogning him and have everyone jumping at shadows.

Thats all Im saying about it. If you knew the history of the club from 2000 and in particular the way the deals were handled youd understand. But I dont expect someone like yo to spare the barin cell to work it out. After all we wouldnt want you inducing your own coma.

Dont get me wrong piper. Im all for seeing him help Easts and play as well hopefully - as he used to. This isnt about me not wanting SBW in a Roosters Jersey. Its about the doubt spread over teh unusual way (by their naive stadards) that Easts are handling it. Its also about teh boxing caveats that yo point out, and also his dodgy manager who isnt accredited to manage under 6's let alone an NRL superstar.

If he comes great. if not Great.

                Thats my point. Indifference.

Nick has done bigger deals in his life than signing a footballer..

I am going to have faith in him to deliver SBW at the Roosters, if that is what he wants...

                    No, I get it.

                    I'm just talking generally.

I'm not going to die in a ditch if we don't sign him either.

But I think we're due for a massive signing pretty soon. And other than Cameron Smith who isn't going anywhere, I'm buggered if I know who.

That's the thing though all things aren't equal. With SBW you have the boxing, the wanker manager, and constant speculation. It's just going to be a circus and I don't think he is a long term fix.

On talent alone he is a great player but add the other factors and it just isn't worth it .

I don't necessarily disagree with the melon idiot. I just have to laugh at the way the idiot chicken shop owner thinks he knows the intimate workings of the club.

for what its worth Bulldog Ritchie heard the same thing about SBW two weeks ago, apparently the Roosters pulled back from negotiations, don't know if it was money or the stipulation that he be allowed to continued boxing.

something doesn't feel right here, we have cleaned a lot of cap space out recently Carney/Myles/Ryles/Anasta and likely Mini/Leilua and even maybe JWH, I get the feeling Uncle Nick has something lined up that no one was expecting.

I wonder if its going to be something like a current All Black outside back or maybe even Tomkins from the UK.

Bad enough the coach plays mind games with selection......now Nick is doing the same to supporters
