Maybe JWH has put a spanner in the works. His performance against NZ on the weekend was one of the best I have seen from a roosters prop in a long time. Maybe they are now hesitant to sign SBW if it means they can't keep JWH. I think his performance on the weekend has made a lot of coaches sit up and take notice.
And that's a damned good thing.

JWH is more important to the future of this club than $BW will ever be.

And I was somebody that was saying the complete opposite at the start of the year.

This is an opportunity for Nick and the front office to change the culture of the club. We shouldn't be about big name signings, rather we should stick to the youth we already have at the club and JWH is the most important young guy we have right now.

        Give him whatever it takes.

Agree..plus I'm not ready to say goodbye to this smile yet. This photo was taken the day after we made it first into the 2010 grand final:

I reckon we and the media have been out foxed on this one.

Dollar Bill is not in the house!
Nothing will happen before round 13, as he is still contracted to the 'Dogs til end of the season. Which means that any offers that he gets before round 13 kicks off must be run past the Dogs for a final offer. Can't see Club Mundine being too happy with doing that, and there's the small issue with Nasser's accreditation. Which isn't a real big deal because someone else in the entourage does hold the accreditation.

Previously, I thought he was headed for Parra or the Warriors, but the longer it goes then the more likely I feel he will be at Bondi. Especially, if the Roosters can make a couple of more signings to strengthen their squad which appears to be likely as Sonny doesn't want to be the highest paid player in a shitbox side (i.e. Bulldogs 2008 style).

Having said all that, I am not convinced he hasn't priced himself out of the NRL.

Parra and NZ was the talk last year. I don't want him but think if he comes back to League it will be to us. We have plenty of cap room and the 3rd party deals to get him over the line. Regarding money I think if he stays in the southern hemisphere Easts can match anything he could get in Australia or NZ, the sticking point might be boxing. If he goes to Europe the money is better but he is out of sight and wouldn't be able to cash in on boxing anyway.

I hope we miss him anyway someone like Tony Williams is on the market we could go after him. The Dogs are after him aren't they? Any chance with him or Foran?

Unless they're going to Michael Searle or even Michael Williamson for that matter, they have to be running out of money.

I can't remember if it's them or Parra that signed up the Mormon Tabernacle Choir alumnus...Parra I think.

That said, if Manly's not able to afford everyone, Oldfield is first on my list if I were buying.

I am really glad that not everyone on here starts a new thread everytime they have a feeling, especially when there is quite clearly another thread already open about the same topic.....

Fire up Melon. The band of brothers seems to be dwindling. Good to see you make such bold predictions as usual.
