Ready to get shot down, but I don't think Suaalii has the speed to be a winger or a fullback. He reminds me of a young SBW so I reckon he would be a great backrower or lock. He obviously has the size, strength and courage.

        I agree.

As time goes on, he will get quicker but he already has aerial abilities that many in the game would be envious of. Those sort of skills are best served out wide. I know they are beneficial as a fullback also but I see his strengths more in attack than in defence. At least for now anyway.

There is a real issue these days with world class centres not wanting to play there because there is more money at fullback. It's actually crazy and something needs to happen with the salary cap to fix it. As I've said before, there's nothing wrong with being the world's best centre. If that's your strength, that's where you should play.
I think centre is a boring position if you are playing for the love of the game (as well as the coin). Take money out of it, if I had the ability to play fullback, that's where I'd rather play. I think Latrell wanted more money, but also wanted to play fullback because he loves that posiiton and the influence he can have on a game. (Let's not debate whether he is doing a great job at it for the time being) Listen to him speak and he talks in detail about it in one of the podcasts I've heard, and I totally get it.

But I agree soem are def motivated by "fullback money".

In fact all the wingers listed besides Addo-Carr are lucky to be on 300k let alone the figures showing. Surely Parra aren't paying Waqa Blake 510k

Suaalii is going to be phenomenal-no doubt. Im sure Teddy will play 5/8 once Keary is gone....and have no doubts that Manu will be fullback. Its hard to see where Suaalii fits in-but i hope he does somewhere
Teddy at 5/8 ?? He can’t kick nor pass efficiently, which a 5/8 needs

Yes "fullback money" seems to be the attraction for some.
Can't be paying a player like Suaalii $800,000...hoping "he fits in somewhere".
Manu and Gus struggled to get $800,000...if they did.
Saw a couple of "big Fijians" in the World Cup who might be worth a look as wingers.
Jamaica is in the World Cup, might be some speedsters there.
Suaalii is not a speedster, but bulked up he could be made into a left centre...Latrell style.

If they need speed then Dominic Young is a must signing - At least 5 clubs are after him with 4 of these Sydney Clubs - Knights haven't offered him an extension at this stage

There's been far too much chopping and changing of positions

I think we are more likely to find a bob sledder from them then an NRL standard player

I see pride! I see power!

There’s probably genuine safety concerns for their players against NZ. Hopefully they take it somewhat easy. It will be 120-0

If he won't commit to the club, let him go. Not going to go through this will he stay or won't he every farkin year. Everyone's replaceable, even him. If your heart isn't with the Roosters, there's the door.

I'm of that opinion as well. Prefer blokes like Sam Walker, who willingly indicated they would like to be long term part of the roosters.

I have no doubts that at some point in his career Suaalii will be a top notch fullback, but at the moment he is a long way off.

When you watch the Samoa v England game, his positional play was terrible and his 1on1 defence even worse. There's a big difference between defending the sideline v's open play defence.

Fullback is just about the most important position in the team. Not only do you have to manage the team's defensive structure, you have to get highly involved in pivotal offensive plays.

He's only 19 and has a lot to learn about the game and if he truely wants to be a successful fullback he should bide his time and learn from two of the best. Unfortunately, I believe he might take the shortcuts and chase the $.

Not so sure about that. Some of the most exciting, dynamic and impactful players ever have played centre. It's an extremely important position in terms of attack, and Latrell had much more impact there than he is ever likely to have at fullback.
