I've never heard any of this crap from the horses mouth.

Suaalii is a winger for the duration of his contract which goes year to year. He hasn't said otherwise.

The most interesting part of the article was some of the salary figures for other wingers!

Agree, Momo & Billy Smith let go to upgrade Suaalii. One can't tackle & the other hardly plays 3 games in a row.

If Suaalli is smart he will realise staying with us is the smarter option & biding his time & playing where Robbo thinks best ATM is more beneficial for him. He's not even 20 yet. He hasn't earned the right to play fullback yet.

It's like everyday life where everyone wants the big house & flashy car straight up without doing the early hard yards.

The Boy named Su will still be playing at an elite level in 2035. I'm sure he'll spend a significant number of the intervening years in a Roosters jersey, even if he explores alternatives from time to time.

I know it's early days, but I don't think he is a fullback.

At the moment he's one of the best wingers in the NRL. Down the track I think he'll make a great edge forward.

Sualli is going to leave sooner or later. Hopefully he sticks around for another couple of years because I think we’ll have a good chance of winning a premiership in my opinion. There’s no point worrying about it. We have the best fullback in the fame and probably the second best fullback!

I reckon Vunivalu would be someone to look at if we need outside backs. He hasn’t really made it in rugby

He’s clearly someone who wants to maximise his career potential and earnings. Also he seems like he’s in a hurry. I don’t think he’ll accept playing wing or centre which is all we can offer him for him at least for the next five years or so

I’ve never heard anything from him where it sounds like he is in a hurry! Quite the opposite… saying he has a great opportunity to learn from the best in both Teddie and Manu.
Sounds like a level headed man who knows where he is at and where he wants to be and how to get there.
The issue will be what the roosters are willing to pay him until then and how it affects the balance of the squad. None of us have a clue what money any player truely earns or the make up of their contract…. management will know exactly what their cap looks like now and well into the future. They’ll make decision based on this info and JS will make decisions based on these discussions and the alignment of their mutual goals.

Suaalii will be going to Union, I have no doubt. Likely Waratahs, so he can stay close with the Roosters boys. he'll probably return after 2027 to the roosters, at which point Tedesco is 34 and Manu 32.

                        Yes, the new Latrell.
                        Keep Momo...we need him.
He plays right wing well and doesn't cost a fortune.

How come Suaali'i is worth $800,000?
Ok, he's played ok so far, comes off his wing and lets in tries though.

He might be a good fullback in the future sometime or he might not.
He's not very fast for a winger.
Atm all he basically has is potential.
Teddy is the best in the business and makes it look easy.
                        Manu is our no2.
Suaali'i needs to consider another position.

Manu played strong against a NSW Cup standard side & because of that game Suaalii has to leave.
To be fair every time Manu played fullback for the Roosters he was phenomenal. Also he has been phenomenal as a centre and winger....and i bet he would be a phenomenal 5/8.

Manu didn't make his debut until he was 20 years old-and only played 3 games that year. He cemented at first grade spot when he was 21 and really hit his straps when he was 22.

He was never rushed, played a lot of wing before moving into the centres. To say that Robbo and the coaching team looked after him is a understatement. His next 6 years, barring injury, will be his best.

It would be great if Suaalii is given a similar development to what Manu has got but the boom on him might not allow it. I hope he doesn't leave but if he does then the door should be open for him to rejoin at a later stage

We need to play the best players we have in their best positions.
There's been far too much chopping and changing of positions
                            Teddy 1
                            Keary 6
                            Walker 7
                            Toops 2
                            Manu 4
                            JWH prop
Lodge prop ( has he been re-signed yet)
                            Smith 9
                            Gus 11
                            N Butcher 12
                            Radley 13
                            Momo 3
                            Suaali'i 5

                            bench:
                            Collins
                            E Butcher
                            ?
                            ?

Just like Teddy is not a 5/8s asshole. Manu for 5/8, sualii at centre until teddy goes. At 19, if he cant bide his time until a 29 retires then happy to see him go.

Yes, our best bet for him will be in the centres.

There is a real issue these days with world class centres not wanting to play there because there is more money at fullback. It's actually crazy and something needs to happen with the salary cap to fix it. As I've said before, there's nothing wrong with being the world's best centre. If that's your strength, that's where you should play.
