I saw Reynolds crying in front of me after the game and yelled out 'WHAT ARE YOU CRYING ABOUT?!?!? GO SAY SORRY TO COOPER YOU GRUB!!!' He looked up at me with a pretty broken looking face.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and with it we could have done better this year. Here's the way I see it..
1.I feel that loosing Fitzy was underestimated and we felt we could get by as we did when O'Brien left. In reality look at what has happened to Newcastle and Cronulla. Our defence definetily dropped especially at the front end of the season and that put us behind the 8 ball early on.
2.Some freakin' brilliant player acquisition Watson, Lodge, Suaalii and May. Lodge and Watson especially surprised me.
3.Some of our player acquisition was questionable Momo, Naiqama really left us short of a quality player towards the end. I think (unless there is something not obvious eg long term injury) we have let SST go a year early. Whyte, Atoni and Tapuha may little impact or impression.
4. The 6 and 7 experiment was a real downer and impacted our middle season and hence low position on the ladder. I never got this as Walker is a 7 and should have been there from day 1.
5. Injury, bad calls and refs. Look every team gets a f ton of these through the year. We seem to get 2.5 f tons.
6. Standout year for some players JWH, Lodge, Verrills, Angus, Nat, Walker, Tupou, Suaalii, Manu, Hutch, Teddy and Watson
Tradesman efforts by Egan, Tyrell, Lindsay, Baker, Sitilli, Keary and Billy Smith.
Book an appointment in the room of reflection, Radley, Momo, Whyte, Atoni, Tapuha
7. The cost of catch up. Being out of the 8 really put the pressure on for the last 9 games. The team made a great effort and Robbo had them playing in a fast and powerful manner, what, I assume is, The Roosters way. Intimately it was not sustainable and the team was tired and busted by seasons end. Need to be smarter and more consistent. The gap between our best and worst was huge.
More D for next year and the A will follow.
