I will be very clear here Where and when I grew up dobbing or narking others in was unacceptable. If you did and were caught out doing so there were repercussions. Now this practice is encouraged Yesterday I went to Suncorp Stadium all they did all day was tell you what you can’t do and encouraging people to dob one another in telling them the exact manner on how they could do this on their phones. It really made me want to vomit Being sober yesterday I was a model supporter and patron of Suncorp

Just use the ignore function. Anyone who uses the "report' button or 'contact us' section is not a nark or a dobber (golly do people still speak like that these days?) It's there for a reason and the most important one is being respectful towards Chris as the forum owner. He didn't use his hard earned money and time and energy to create this forum for you to use it as your own personal play pen. Some of you on here play sport and referee as well and demand respect on the field and for everyone to obey the rules but yet you won't do the same for Chris. This is HIS playing field paid for out of HIS pocket and those who choose to subscribe with their hard earned money too. Piggybacking off the goodwill of your fellow Roosters fans..

This thread is getting better by the minute. We have posters abusing the team to start. Others defending that posters right to so so then being critical of others who don’t like the initial post which imho was extremely foolish. But other times some defending this post don’t like it when others do similar during or after games. Upon reflection it appears to be selective on their part as to whom they accept doing this and whom they don’t.
Dobbers and narks are terms still used in society. The former more so by kids the latter by adults Those who have possibly lived sheltered lives and might not have kids of their own may not be familiar that both terms are still used today and that many in society still do not particularly like dobbers or narks. That is their choice and that choice in this woke world we now live in should be respected.

Perhaps this is bold of me to say that Chris who does a wonderful job along with all the other mods does not set up this site for people to refer to non financial contributors as piggy backing off the good will of other fans. Interstingly it does appear that the poster has used this term is a non financial contributor themself.

Now back to the matter at hand starting a thread like this at halftime only too see that team then score 42 second half points is only going to set yourself up for some sort of ridicule Starting another thread will not save anyone from that.

Now the major thing I take from this thread is there are some defending this thread who do not like this same type of thread during or after games when others do the same.

Just use the ignore function Eddie.. A few of us have put it back on today as some are obviously not willing to be respectful of the site owner's wishes. Sorry if that's going to mess up the music threads too if we are going to be posting the same songs but it's better we do that than having to be reading rantings and ramblings that have nothing to do with the Roosters. We should be encouraging new members to this forum (which belongs to CHRIS by the way, no one else) and not scaring them off. Bullying, intimidating, name calling, threats etc have no place on here. I'm sure there's a Souths or Canterbury forum they can go join and feel more at home there if that's how they are so inclined.

A few other posters commented that maybe that’s a lesson not to go off too early. So we have some points and counter points. Seems fair enough to me.

My two cents are that the forum shouldn't be getting clogged up with unnecessary threads, and particularly ones that are actually just dragging specific players or the team through the mud.

Of course we all get frustrated with our team, but you could just post your rants in the match day thread. But people so badly want people to read their rants that they feel the need to make a new thread. It adds nothing to the forum and gets pretty irritating, and I think if we have 5 or so threads pop up during a game, just ragging on specific players, I'd have no issue with them being removed.

Why not just make and sticky a "Our players suck" thread, and then all the rants can go in there if you want to vent lol.

You have missed nothing apart from some like to laugh along with posters who are arguing amongst themselves. So much so one got upset and has apparently reported the person who RWB was laughing with. In fairness I can’t see where the other poster has done what is alleged Funny they laughed along with the one who has been reported and didn’t stand up for the other poster.

They don’t like others starting this type of thread but defend Carlos when he does so. It appears the logic of this is it is ok because they are relatively new and they should be encouraged. But when this is mentioned you are told you are ranting and again on their ignore list. Rules for thee but not for me appears the motto here
