Is 2022 about to feel a lot like 2002?

Good stuff Tommy. The fat lady hasn't sung for me yet so until she does I'm all in. I know the odds are against us but I have never been able to be rational in my support for the Roosters. Its been a while since the comp has seen an unconventional road to victory and if anyone can do it, its us.
Hope Luke comes back but if he doesn't and we can replicate that style of play we delivered against the Panthers along with JWH returning and now Lodge on board I think we will string the wins together. Biggest concern moving forward when things tighten up is our yardage kicking game.

Smith binned for dissent.

Abused by the crowd, looked like someone threw something at him from above as he went off into the tunnel.
He looked back, was thinking of going out, but instead doubled over, not sure if he was hit with something.
I stopped going to Shark Park because of crowd abuse.
More 'controversial' refereeing at Shark Park tonite.Last edited by bondi.boy; 07-08-2022, 12:54 AM.

interesting to compare this year's ladder to last year's. the top teams have lost more games this year so the cut off point for the 8 is higher. with our points and f and a we'd be in the 8 if it was last year's comp. at this time of the year we'd won 2 more games than we have this year.
but that's irrelevant - not sure how many wins we need this year, but we probably can't drop more than a couple

In 2002 just as we went on that 12 game streak we flicked the switch in defence. Apparently the boys had been practising their new defensive style all year at training. But it was only just as we went on the 12 game streak that the new defensive structures were brought in during games. Other teams knew what we were doing but couldn't keep up, which along with Freddy killing it lead us to the 2002 premiership.
Does Robbo have something like that planned and is he just waiting for the right time to flick the switch? (I don't think so, but one can hope TIT)
