Great thread. We have the squad. That’s why this year has been so disappointing. We were better last year with all those injuries.

v the Titans, our team saw...

Walker as utility on the bench with Liu, E Butcher, Baker

Lam and Hutch as the halves, Keighran and JMoz the centres...and Ikuvalu on the wing.

I like to think myself an optimist, but it feels more 2016 than 2002.

This year I'd just be happy with a 2010 scenario

          In 2002 we had Fittler.

This year I'll be happy if we make the finals.

              Sometimes it feels like 2009

                Robbo never loses grand finals.

We need to be keary undefeated for rest of the season so no I don’t think so… however that Penriff game showed we can cause some damage coMe the end of the year and get a proper off-season in with Brandon smith a more experienced walker and lodge …..im a big supporter of TIT I know some here aren’t but at least then TIN

Lets just see what happens with the Dragons first.

And I also see a lot of parallels. An underwhelming season from a team loaded with talent. And now a demoralising losing streak where now all hope appears lost.

But through it all, flickers of hope. We outplayed Penrith. Missing key talent and robbed by Sutton. A few weeks earlier we would have beaten the Storm had Keary not gone off and Sitili not dropped a try cold.

If you dig deep enough, the embers of something special are there. This is a team that has had zero luck for 3 years now. Not little luck, I mean literally ****ing zero luck.

But if that changes for a few months...

If Keary manages to return. And JWH and Lodge fire to form a formidable monster middle rotation... If Rads and Angus pull their fingers out...

If we contrinue to play through the middle like we did vs Penrith with Teddy, Manu, the halves and hooking rotation firing...

And on the end of it all is the best wing pairing in the comp.

If, IF... the ingredients are there. The competition is sludge and wide open. It's possible. I believe. But best of all, I'm not too fussed if it doesn't eventuate.
Admire the optimistic view but the feeling I get it will be like 1992 where we came 6th to just miss the top 5.

Lot of if's have to come true & with 3/4 of the season gone i'm looking at the last 18 rds form guide & to think we will suddenly become this amazing attacking & defensive team that leaves all in it's wake is very hopeful. Teams have been going up the guts of us & scoring some way too easy tries for my liking.

If we don't beat the Dragons then I don't care what anyone says...we won't make the 8. I will streak naked at the new stadium opening if we lose to Dragons & still make the 8.

Also playing Storm & Manly away is very tough we also can't beat South's at all these days....in saying all that, c'mon "THE MIGHTY ROOSTERS " l might have some doubts ATM but I also have no doubt we have the team to do it.

Finally some much needed balance to the conversation!

Yeah can’t see us pulling it off but you never know. I honestly think we were due a year like this for it to shows us that we need a revamp in a few areas. We won’t be down for long, though.

JWH and Keary have to be fit and playing well for the remainder of the season for it to be a chance.

Is that a possibility? I don't think it is.

A perfect storm with no injuries and 90 % of our squad hits close to top form .
No team will beat us and we won't lose another game this year....

The same could be said for a few other teams
