I love the optimism in your post, and you raise some good points, but care to expand on this? I see Luai cop a lot of flack, but this guy is an origin level half and has been more-or-less killing it for three years. I know that it's not that difficult to look good behind that Penrith pack, and with Cleary handling most of the kicking, but I think this bloke is an absolute gun and don't understand a lot of the criticism he cops. And I'm saying this as one of Drews' staunchest defenders.

I know I am biased against Luai, probably because I hate the way he carries on after a try is scored, and I think he is only playing origin because of Cleary.
I think his defence is below average, his kicking game is also and I just don't think he is a great 5/8.
Keary is much better, so is Brown from Parra.
Hutch is at least as good as him in all facets of the game.

Hmm, I can't agree but thanks for clarifying. I do rate Hutch pretty highly though, to be honest.
I personally think a fit Keary is comfortably the best 5/8 in the game, provided he is with a good enough team to cover him defensively. I think what he can do consistently, far exceeds what Munster, Brown, Luai, Cody Walker can etc. Shame we may not get to see him at his best again.

they have a better half, but ours is still bloody good.
          we both have good locks,
and the forwards cancel each other out.
The benches are what they are, we are missing two big strengths in JWH and Keary, and it's at their home ground, so they have the advantage.
But...... we can win this if we complete well, move up on them with a quick defensive line, pressure Cleary, employ a great kicking game..... if you play Penrith in their own hafl they are very beatable,
we have to kick well and chase well.
I think they will take us easy, they will be over confident, and they will be a bit flat, we can win this.
Teddy, Toops, Manu, Smith, Suaali, Walker, Radley, Angus, Sitili, Collins, Verrils, TKO.....
they start in any NRL team,
          4 Origin players,
          3 future origin players,
          3 other nations internationals,
and 2 very solid first graders.
Plus Hutch, the Butchers, Baker and Watson. I am expecting us to put in a very good performance.
Geez your good for a laugh. Hutch is as good as Luia (one of your best) So Freddy would pick Hutch at 5/8 for NSW if Luia gets injured before game 3?
If you combined the top 13 of both sides the Roosters would have 4 players the Panthers would have 9

I'm also a fan of Hutch to a point. There is not a weak skill in his game but he is a big unit and, though certainly not a plodder, can't be expected to be a Greyhound. He's as good a replacement as you'd get considering the roster. but he won't be wanting to give Luai a metre.

Is Lachie still on Rep duty, 'cos one would think he'd be the pick after lighting up the Kumuls again last week. He was everywhere, unrestricted and lively unlike his usual "don't get in the way" role as a Rooster. Looked a lot like Luai actually.

I reckon Manu will play 5/8 vs Riffs. Momi hasn’t been named for the bears, and it would be the game to play Manu, everyone expects us to lose, so let’s ambush them with Manu at 5/8, capitalising on his form from the Kiwis.

Luai is only in Origin because keary got injured and luai snuck in on Cleary's bootlaces. Seriously, you are not good for a laugh, but you are a joke. Teddy, Toops, Manu, Suaali, Radley, Angus, Sitili, Collins and TKO all make a 17 man team chosen between Roosters and Penrith combined. Thats 9 out of 17...... laugh that one up clown.

Pretty close to half and half for a full squad, I find 5roosters starters, and 3 roosters taking bench spots.

We won't ambush anyone with Momo in the side.

With Slomoski moving into the centres it reduces our chances of winning even more.

                          As Cogburn said "we're farked".

I’m honestly in disbelief that a coach as experienced as Robbo keeps persisting with Slowminoski in the centres when it is evident he isn’t up to it!

                              Why Robbo,why????

Who else do we have? Tom Carr from what I've seen isn't ready, and Naiqama is worse than Momo. Suaalii is a very good defender on the right so hopefully that helps.
                                EASTS TO WIN!
