  • Speed.

    Something a little different.

Who is the quickest man in the game atm?

And do we lack real pace in our backs, I’m talking electrifying speed like a young Michael Jennings?

I would say I’m and around the ruck would be papenhuyzen but straight line speed I would pick Saab

Who is our quickest over 100?

Our lack of speed is a real issue.

BMoz is retired and 35 and would still blitz everyone over the 100 what about this young Tom Carr we have in the lower grades how does he go?

I think Manly might have the two quickest players in the comp with Jason Saab and Tolutau Koula

I have yet to see Suaalii redlining as I do believe he could have a decent pace on him ... but overall our squad does lack speed and that explosive X factor i.e. Staggs or Latrell

Ahhh ... if only Bronson Xerri didn't piss hot in 2020 ... perhaps he would've been good in relation to speed (not the drug kind) !

Could he still be a smoky for a 2024 contract ? left centre option for cheap ? maybe ? (similar to how the Chooks gave Blake Ferguson a lifeline in 2014)

I was right about LK in my other post. Just chatting to one of his friends now and he said even at school he was unassumingly quick..up to the doctors to decide whether or not he's going to finish at season's end also..

We shouldn't laugh but Parra have 2 of the worst stats for ineffective tackles..take that into Saturday night as a ray of light for us..

Saab....has never even had to really push sprint yet, has them all covered.

In my very humble opinion, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidou from the Cowboys would be the quickest in the NRL

Jennings was as quick as you can get off the mark, but over 80 meters he regularly got run down. Teddy is similiar, as is Papynhausen. Arguable, that explosive acceleration is more important in league.

I'd back Toops to win a sprint at the Chooks over 100 meters.

Right now over the whole comp, the Fox is probably still the fastest over 100.

In terms of NRL players overall over the past 15 years or so? Jarryd Hayne, no contest.
Junior sprint champ, and a clear winner over 100 meters.

                            Keary is probably our quickest.

He got in the clear last week and was easily run down. I like him, but not the quickest.
