We all know there has been massive delays with the home and away 2022 kit, along with the training range, which means for those of us who want to purchase a new jersey don't get to wear it for half the season.

Today the Roosters unveiled the 2022 Indigenous Jersey and I couldn't help but notice how awful the Red V integration was over the shoulders on the jersey. For an official unveiling of an important jersey, it's very unprofessional. Take a look at the link below to see for yourself.

    https://www.roosters.com.au/news/202...genous-jersey/

Looking at the retail images, this is clearly not the design

We had the opposite issue with the 20th anniversary premiership jerseys earlier in the year where the player issued jersey lined up perfectly over the shoulders and the retail versions didn't. Take a look at the player issue version:

    https://www.roosters.com.au/news/202...ay-at-the-scg/

And compare it against the retail version where the v integration is near not existent and nothing alike the 2002 playing jersey:

They have also made errors in the design of the player jerseys (how the v is shaped) that wasn't corrected until recently, and put the carsales advertising on backwards on the Storms jersey.

For a jersey that costs $160+ dollar, it is not good enough. Rumour has it the chooks (and Storm) are trying to end the 5 year partnership, lets hope that's true as they have proven they cannot be relied in, just like Kappa all those years ago.

    TLDR - Castore are terrible.
Good post man. Some people would say it doesn't matter but in my opinion our club should be wearing the best jerseys there are.

I would like to see us choose an Indigenous design and make it permanent (ie, worn once a year).

A heritage club with a heritage brand like Adidas is a good fit. The adidas designs of it “ originals” collection also compatible for supporters gear. Adidas is just not sportswear, recently they have done collections with Gucci and Balenciaga.

They still make some pretty bloody good sports shoes as well. Unlike some of the other big brands that seem be all about a look now rather than a good practical shoe to actually play sports in.

I agree. Their ultraboost shoes are very comfortable, as are their predator footy boots.

They have really come a long way in their clothing in recent years to the point that I only really wear Adidas gym shorts they are that good.

George must have designed Teddy's shorts, seems he loses them atleast once a game.

George was right! Cotton over synthetics any day! The Mets could've afforded to use new ones every week, thereby still keep comfortable and play better!

I don't see why the fans have to have the same synthetic material as the players. All my footy shirts are cotton.

I love the ultra boost shoes. It’s pretty much all I wear but they do wear out inside at the back heel area a little too quickly. I still wear them for how they feel when excersising tho. I agree with the shirts as well.

Me too and I never throw them away even when they’ve seen better days. They serve as great lawn mowing and around the house shoes after they have served their excersise purpose.

I am am struggling to find them with a traditional tongue these days tho as they seem to have moved to the trendy sock like style now. I hate those types of shoe.

Will never buy any castore gear. It’s ****ing disgraceful.

they haven’t had womens or kids jerseys in stock online for over a year. Managed to find a 2021 for my little boy as his first jersey when we moved back home… and deadset you get better quality buying the best and less gear.

emailed the club asking when to expect 2022 merch to be in, and they just said they have no ETA. completely unacceptable and frankly if they aren’t looking to sue these pricks for serious loss and terminate their agreement then easts are bloody kidding themselves.

currently trying to source an old ISC jersey for my boy instead. Seems eBay is the only option at present

I'm surprised Canterbury (CCC) don't sponsor any NRL teams. I always think their merchandise is of very high quality. I can't take to the new jumpers anyway. I can understand why teams wear those skin tight things without a collar but I'll never buy one. I've only owned 2 'Easts' jerseys in my life. The first I received on my 8th birthday and the only other one (that I still have and is in excellent condition) is a CCC one that is made of heavy duty cotton with a collar. The Rooster logo on the left hand side, CCC logo in the middle and the blue NSWRL logo on the right side. It would be at least 25 years old now. No sponsor names or anything - just a traditional jersey that I'll keep forever. I suppose I'm just old school - or maybe just old. But totally agree, Castore looks like absolute rubbish.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".
