He smashed everyone and anyone that came near him.
He played way above his size.
It was big reason as to why the Roosters won that game.
He played on the right edge.

I was disappointed when we let Matterson go I always rated him. Plus my Daughter ran onto the field with him before kick off in a game in 2018 She said he was really cool and that he could see she was nervous and he grabbed her hand and said cmon lets go this is fun. I still have the video of it.

In regards to Angus I think he is beginning to build nicely into the season
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

I definitely see where the criticism of Angus has come from over the start of the season, but in no way did he let in three tries on the weekend, and he did definitely have a solid game. Saved a try or two and took some good carries.

As someone else has mentioned, I'd be really keen to see him have a go at lock. I remember him covering that position in the mid/late part of 2020, I think? And he absolutely carved up.

Maybe Angus isn't worth what we're paying him, and maybe he'll leave, but he's definitely becoming a bit of a whipping boy on here, and is adding more value than people seem to appreciate.

Maybe getting dropped to the bench the week before and Ryles giving the pack a boot up the backside didn't hurt.
I'm sure defending next to Keary who would be organising that edge in defence would also have helped.
He played really well on the weekend and though he was gassed he got himself back into the defensive line on nearly all occasions.
Massive test against Kikau this weekend if he's ready to go who is the premium backrower in the comp for mine.
The rev up from Ryles seemed to have an effect on all our forwards as they turned up in their best performance as a unit for a couple of years.

I reckon the first try parra scored was mainly down to Angus.
What sux is that had poor Sitilli made that error, this place would be calling for his head.

People saying that Angus is worth whatever money he gets or is offered blah blah ... but seriously, I wish he would pull his weight and actually play like someone who is on $700k and a representative player because there are other edge backrowers in the squad and on the market who play much harder and have more of an impact for their team and are on much less money !

Its probably a masterstroke from the coaches, to provide some motivation to the players.
You demote someone to the bench, but they are still playing in the game, and they know they are being scrutinized.

It was Walker running up out of the line that caused the issues.... Gus played great!!
