I believe Gus head and shoulders better than those options.

Schuster would make my list but he doesn’t want to play backrow.

I agree, I get why people like him because you can see a good player in there I just don't think he's cut out for the 2nd row and I don't think he's up to playing 80 minutes a game.

The best footy I have ever seen him play is when Robinson has used him in stints in the middle third of the field. He was great for NSW last year as a prop forward.

Last week I said I wouldnt mind seeing us give Radley a stint in the 2nd row and get Crichton into the middle to play lock and I'm warming to the idea more and more by the day, at least just as a trial for a couple of weeks. I mean Radleys got 6 weeks to study the technical skills required to play the positon now...

If by some miracle Tupouniua is fit to play on Saturday I would love to see us go with

          11. N Butcher
          12. Tupouniua
          13. Crichton

          14. E Butcher

not if he wants 700k plus again, they would all be better value. If he takes 500k though, then he possibly edges them out.

Gotta remember Liam Martin out there selling himself for $750k. Gus gets more than Martin on open Market is my guess.

Hard to know what their real contracts are worth. Reports could be overs vs actuals.

3 tries? Other than the first Moses try when he ran between Crichton and Walker where else was he at fault?

Mattersons try was a bad DSF miss and the Papalii try was bad Walker defensive reading. Moses 2nd was no one's fault.

Yes u must be seeing things hehe. Only half at fault with one T.

agreed, i love his hard carries in the teeth of the defence, the guy doesnt get the credit round here he deserves.

for every positive sitili post there are 3 baggi3g his defensive reads . i really like him , error reads and all .

It's the old saying about a bird in the hand, ay?

ThirtyOne keeps saying Butcher's just as good (a bit like some others keep repeating that they think Walker & Keary need to switch jerseys). IMO we just need to back our current squad and focus on getting the most out of it...

                      Watch the Parramatta game closely.
At the 29 minute mark Gus saves a certain Parramatta try with his tackling.
Within the minute he saves another certain try.
12 point turnaround within 1 minute.
He plays Origin, and is Origin standard.

Matterson did impress me with his size , power, and offloading ability in the Parra game
Gave us heaps of trouble, and always does when we play the Eels.

I don't know what got into Sitili on Sunday, but it looked like he was possessed.
He smashed everyone and anyone that came near him.
He played way above his size.
It was big reason as to why the Roosters won that game.

At the right price, I would take him back. We took back Watson and Momo so it's not completely unrealistic to think that Robbo would consider it. Has a history of head knocks which makes him a risk, but also lowers his asking price.

                                Sorry, but I disagree.

We have, Tapuha, Fifita, Collins, Atoni, Thomas, Baker, May, the Va'a brothers and JWH for 2023

I think an edge backrower and a winger
