Why is everyone overrating Takairangi so much ?

He is yet another impact second rower on our books.

Nothing i have seen from him suggests that he has high work-rate or big minutes.

      Ahem,

Who was running and passed the pall to Mortimer?

Wasn't it FPN who offloaded the ball in a tackle that finally led to our winning try against Souths?

C'mon mate, Frank's offload was straightforward and had little to no impact on the play. Mitch Aubusson created that last minute try alone, until he got the ball from Pearce there was nothing doing.

He has always been a bludger!
This guy is the oldest most experienced forward we have. He should be leading the way.

The only redeeming feature of FPNs play is that he provides second phase ball.

Taka can do this as well, but he also displays a fill to win when he plays - something I can't see in FPN. Taka is no superstar and probably never will be. He hasn't shown he can play big minutes, but when he is on the field, he has a real go and adds skill and creativity.

The reason people are talking up Taka as his inclusion would allow us to drop FPN while maintaining a player that can provide the team with second phase ball (plus more).

I rate Taka massively.. Great ball to set up the try for us against the Dragons, great footwork when going to the line to be able to pop out a ball in any circumstance such as our last try of the year last year, and skillful enough to play in the backline as a fill in. With injuries this year I'm sure we'll see a lot of him again.

Taka and Bosden are best mates who grew up together and played all their junior footy together.

They are also both massively competitive, you put those two in the FG side and watch them absolutely bust their guts to win, they are also massively talented (much better than Frank Paul the Nerf Ball) I'd actually have Bosden in the staring line up ahead of Nuuasala and Takarangi on the bench ahead of 2 minute Mose.

both those guys should be in the 17 but our coach doesn't reward form unfortunately.

                        Unfortunately he has his favourites.
He sees talent in J.Carney but didn't see talent in J.Hayne!

Does he see what Mateo does each week? Does he feel anything?

                              Ridiculous.

That's straight out of Rothfield's Book of Fiction.
